Let me pull out some more things from my hat, as it is deep, and filled with terrors: - Bad PC ports - Illogical actions - A lack of respect for animals - Pseudo-science - Patriotism - A complete disregard for science |

whats wrong with pseudo/fringe science? if not for fringe science science would never change, every large scale discovery is a part of fringe science at some point the idea of a round earth was fringe science some people even still consider evolution a fringe science (even tho its irrefutable) |

Fringe science and pseudo science are not the same. Fringe science is a new, typically radical, idea, with some evidence backing it up. For example, back in the day, feathered dinosaurs were fringe science Pseudo science is creationism and "spirit science" |

Well that depends, either what I described as fringe science is called something else, or it is the same as what I called pseudo-science, but pseudo-science is definitely what I described. |

I looked it up fringe science is a more general term, most things considered fringe science are based on some degree of evidence, but are still not widely accepted, encompassing everything from young earth nonsense, to David Peters pterosaurs whereas pseudo science refers specifically to theories with no evidence at all, whether these be religious, or bending spoons with your mind Edited by stargatedalek, Jul 15 2014, 09:05 AM.

There is no evidence for either david peters or the young earth nonsense /: I would not even call that pseudo-science, in the case of the creationists, since that still requires something that could hypothetically vaguely resemble science had it been backed up by evidence. David Peters is... not the brightest. I am sure he is a nice guy, but his "work" does not even qualify as fringe science, since all his so called evidence is really just photoshopped versions of low resolution images which no real scientists accept. |

thats why I said most, fringe science is very broad and includes pseudo science in it (probably causing my initial confusion of the two)

Actually both is good . But either way, it is still annoying. I wouldn't complain to anyone liking something I don't, that is, if he/she isn't a fanatic on it and shows it every single time.

Because right wing people enjoy shoving it down others throats about how they are "patriotic" to me the whole concept is idiotic you should show respect to your country by following laws, not by showing how much a gun loving bigot you can be speaking generally here, but the image of patriotism I see, is a fat drunk on a harley with a gun in one hand and a Michael Bay movie ticket in the other, he is a huge womanizer sorry if this seems offensive but honestly thats what comes to mind |

I get annoyed by anti-gun people. Guns don't kill people, crazy psychopaths with guns do. I get that people want to end gun violence, doesn't everyone, but banning firearms is not the answer. First of all, it's the Second Amendment and a basic right to all Americans. And before anyone goes on a rant about how "Well back then they didn't have weapons of mass destruction, the had single-fire muskets." it's not about the actual weapons, it's about the idea and principle of having the right to defend yourself. Secondly, even if firearms were banned, it won't stop gun violence, which a lot of people don't seem to understand. A lot of people who go on shooting sprees get their guns illegally, not some gun store. If a law was passed to ban firearms, the people trying to defend themselves would be out of luck, meanwhile the psychos will continue to buy weapons from black market arms dealers, gangs, the mob, and triads. To each his own, and I'm absolutely positive that a lot of people will disagree with me here, this is just my personal opinion so please don't take offense. As far as patriotism goes, I myself picture the brave men and women fighting overseas so that we at home don't have to, I picture people like cops and firefighters who make our cities a safer place. They know that they could die any day doing their job, but they don't care. Knowing that they're doing what they do for their country and for their fellow countrymen is satisfying enough.... sorry, that's my die hard american side showing
