@MrGorsh Well of course creationism isn't restricted to Christianity, there's plenty of other religions out there who believe in creation that range from Christianity and Judaism to Native American tribes and Australian Aboriginal people. I, and others on this site that I know of, do believe in science, but we take the word of God and the Holy Bible first. That being said, can you honestly tell me that if you shared our beliefs, that this would not offend you? Not to mention the fact that they were posted in the topic called "Pictures that made your day" which honestly is even more insulting.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And no, I'm not trying to start a religious flame war here, but I do feel the need to try and defend our beliefs considering that you posted first. That being said, I'm not going to comment any further on the matter here, if you have a problem with anything I've said here, PM me. Otherwise, I will be in the Debate Section. |

Can you honestly tell me with a straight face that you "believe" in science (I don't believe in science, since it's no deity or religion. It's a process through which our species learns about the universe we live in, so I merely recognize its existence as it is) while also cherrypicking which parts of it you're willing to accept because people that hold authority over you in your religion told you that it's wrong? And yes, I can honestly tell that when I was a Christian, I wasn't concerned by the opposing views. I used the taunts to gather valuable information and research controversial topics that sparked my curiosity on what the 'other side' has to say. You can say I was antiauthoritarian and it led to my faith's demise as I didn't take my church's words as some sort of ifallible holy truth. |

Why are you offended by a photo where god says he will never flood the world again because he saw a kitten video. Honestly you shouldn't mad that these photos were posted in in a topic called "Pictures that made your day". Isn't creationism actually specifically in religions with Abrahamic god( Judaism, Christianity, and Islam). Most other religions with 'creationism' usually have more then one god and are more of a mythology. |

@Drax A)the tree thing is true, how in any way should that offend you, it just means no flood covered the entire Earth, which doesn't even mean no flood couldn't have happened (on a smaller scale) B)all of those things were entirely true about the biblical mistreatment of homosexuals, and the social mistreatment of denying homosexual marriage, I'm offended that you take that as an attack on your faith, since its an attack on social injustice not on anyones faith C)the last 2 are satire, can you seriously not just take it? I mean come on grow up, if I was offended every time someone said something offensive and derogatory about "my people" or "my faith" than I would be complaining 24/7, you should be glad "your people" and "your beliefs" were not the ones being crushed under oppressive governments for thousands of years |

My English homework. It's discussing technical terms and went into musical technical terms. So it goes on and on about classical music and orchestras and how those are the best music. Then it adds that rock exists as a miserable afterthought. It's English homework. It shouldn't try to tell me what music is the best. As someone very passionate about music, this really annoys me. Edit: and now it's generalizing all of the wonderful world of math to be the metric system only. I hate this so much. Edited by Zebrasorus, Aug 25 2014, 03:23 PM.

It doesn't matter... Math is way more than measurements. People shouldn't write textbooks about things they know nothing about.

OH that makes me SO annoyed. When you plan a trip to the zoo or something really exciting - people insist on coming with you ...then ruin your fun because they get bored. This happened with me at the aquarium.. I wanted to go slow and look at all the fish in the tank. If it was busy I would quietly wait for it to be clear. Well the nagging started - just skip the tank there are too many people. Lets hurry up and go see this and that. Grrrr. Its not cheap either to go to these venues! |
