@CyborgIguana, as a fellow individual with Aspergers, I find it's almost the opposite for me, rather than people thinking I'm a cold self-centered monster they think I'm either an idiot or an arrogant jerk who considers myself better and doesn't want to even consider other's opinions or ways of doing things.

I blame the second one on Sheldon Cooper being the face of Aspergers in much of the public eye.

Frankly Val, that group kinda needs to be deleted, or at least remade at this point.

Since not everyone is in the group I won't say which it is, but really it has become really bad and needs to be at least wiped clean and started over with a much stricter enforcement of the rules and a prevention of flaming and insults from certain members who I shall not name

I've had problems with those two as well.

Related to your second point, when is humanity going to learn just how harmful stereotypes are? What are so often interpreted as harmless jokes have the potential in reality to leave innocent lives in shards (it would be an exaggeration to say this is the case for my life in particular, but you get the idea). And yet we still enforce them? This is what annoys me right here!

TBH I don't find it a negative stereotype, but maybe its because thats close to how I actually act xD

Just because the stereotype is accurate when it comes to you doesn't mean it's accurate when it comes to all those it's applied to.

I personally don't act at all like Sheldon Cooper, in fact I find him rather intolerable myself. Yet many people seem to assume because he is a famous character who (supposedly) has Aspergers that I'm going to be identical to him.

It's rather infuriating.

I didn't even know Sheldon Cooper supposedly has Aspergers. I thought he was just the most annoying type of genius that walks this planet xD

Love the show, though :P

thats not what I was saying, I was just giving an example of a possibility why I don't mind the stereotype

I'll admit he's pretty funny and one of my favourite characters on the show, but the fact remains that he enforces negative stereotypes about aspergers, regardless of whether or not they're applicable to some people (almost all stereotypes are applicable to some people, otherwise we wouldn't have them in the first place).

OH YESSS!

That days and weeks cannot move fast enough even though I'm not attending any work or college that would otherwise hinder me each passing day... Seriously, you'd think not having any (major) responsibilities in my life would allow days to go by faster than normal, right? Well, that's just the thing. Whenever I wait for a major game release, I feel like time likes to be a prick to me and decide to slow itself down each day I prepare for said game's release, and slows down even further as the hype intensifies to the extreme.

Let's just say Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be a Ferrothorn to my side until the day they are released...

Let me guess, your school took him for a legitimate scientist. This happens far too often. :P
