You think that's bad ? My best friend and the girl I laid my eyes on have been a couple for years now. No need to tell how I felt back then, although it's gone now (she's now one of my best friends, and sometimes I feel lucky I didn't get trapped in the same fate as my friend )

When I'm stressed and people tell me to "breathe". No offense, but I've been breathing for the past 17 years. That's how I'm still alive. |

This one has probably be already discussed in the topic, but I still is worth to point it out. People which keep trying to imposse human ethics on the natural world that comment how cruel predators are because they kill other animals or how people that wittness acts of predation should interfere because it is the right thing to do... The only reason why most of our ecosystems work, and one of the main reasons why animals and plants (funnily all of those moral defenders forget that plants are also living organisms and that most herbivores eat their food ALIVE) had went through an evolution progress and so forth was because of predation. And no matter what some people may say humans had hunted to obtain food since even our species actually evolved. |

Going back to my prvious comment about people complaining about how cruel predators are because how gruesome they can be and because they target the more vulnerable prey... http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/humans-are-superpredators-like-no-other-species-1.3197697 According to this new study what humans do is a lot more damaging that what any natural predaotr would be able to do... it's not just the quantities that we consume but the fact that we deliberately target the individuals that are favoured by natural selection, since they are no longer favoured a lot of species are getting smaller or mature early. I guess this study is nothing new, this has already been bringed up several times before, but I think this is the first study to take a global approach on the issue. |

Yep, bagging the biggest lion, the elephant with the longest tucks, the buck with the biggest antlers, everything that is bigger size. So it leaves only the weak "undesirable" males left who pass on their genetics and make weak children. |

Waking up at 7 on a Sunday to go stand in the heat for 5 hours with your mom yelling at you the whole time. Isn't that wonderful. |

The fandom I'm in is downright embarrassing. - Constant, petty squabbling - Whining about the reboot when the episodes haven't even aired yet - Death threats to the creator of the series - Extreme social justice warriors taking over the fandom and policing everyone - People demanding sex scenes in the reboot when the show was never about sex - People harassing the writers and actors via social media - 40 year olds bullying people over the net - 16 year olds telling older fans that they are pedophiles and the show was designed for teenagers (which is simply not true) Such a joy! |

The X-Files Haha you're probably right. Every fandom has its own special flavor of dysfunction, I guess. |
