When I am angry and they try to help me, I do not tell them anything, they continue and continue, and that ¿bothers? me and only makes me more angry.

When somebody asks for help but won't let you help them. Like, dad, I want to help you with the computer, but I can't if you won't follow my instructions or let me touch the mouse.

gabby - the god of common sense

>clearly the key isn't including a Strong Female Character™
>having Strong Female Characters Who Can Appeal To Woman™ isn't the key to a good box office
thank god, a cinema nerd who actually dismisses a repetitive, nearly annoying trend in mainstream films

Honestly the "Strong Female Character" trope is one of my least favorite modern cinematic tropes, especially since I enjoy seeing films with well-developed female characters. The "Strong Female Characters" tend to just come across as either a focus-tested attempt at increasing character/cast diversity or a way to say "yeah, women CAN be as tough as men" while still relating their entire existence to men. I like characters like Ripley from Alien or Furiosa from Mad Max because they're interesting, complex characters who can hold their own and aren't assumed to be weak or inferior because of their sex, so they don't have the annoying "rebelling against the patriarchy" arc that a lot of "Strong Female Characters" have.

Also clearly this article author didn't give a damn about the female characters from Blade Runner 2049, I can think of four named female characters from it off the top of my head. And they all play an important role in the plot.

When you shuffle play an album on Spotify and it only plays songs not in the album. For that I could press shuffle play on my personal library >:v

No good hero is a one-trick phony.

The Strong Female annoys me only insofar as people use "strong" as a stand in for more interesting, colorful, nuanced characterization. What annoys me more is people who see female protagonists as "pandering to SJWs and feminazis" or "trying too hard to be progressive." Men are seen as the default leads, while women are something different, and that is a shame. It makes sense, given Hollywood's sexist history, but it's a shame.

There's a place near my house that sells ice cream/popsicles with different flavors and they just released a marshmallow flavor, so naturally I went to try it. I get inside the store, already tasting the marshmallow... only to find out they had sold out. :(

Also watching a series only to find out that not only it's depressing af, but also that your favorite character dies. I still enjoyed it, but I didn't wanna be depressed xD

There was a conference at NH yesterday, about the Paleoecology of the Pisco Formation.

Of course I found that out today.

Kevin Spacey. Why you may ask?
Tw: Abuse Allegations

Skipped the spoiler? Tl:dr, Kevin Spacey is a scummy guy who I will no longer support or respect as an actor.

When your parents get the urge to ruin even the simplest things you enjoy. I wanted to spend Halloween making costumes with my little sister, and taking her trick-or-treating. However my mother decided I was going to a party filled mostly with people I either don't like or don't know at all. When I refused to go, she didn't even let me do anything for Halloween. I couldn't make any costume, and she took my sister out pretty early and got her back pretty late so I couldn't even take her trick-or-treating.

Thanks again, for ruining one of the few things I was actually excited for.

My workplace has very strict "pricing" on certain things because it's regulated by law and we cannot change it. Sometimes I'm substitute at cash register, so, these types of people:
> Has 3-6 PLN to pay, throws me a 200 PLN bill while their purse is ringing with loose change (most common, few times a day)
> Tries to negotiate the price. When told I'm not the one setting the prices, is highly offended. (appears on daily basis)
> Has 100+ PLN to pay, brings a plastic box full of coins (rare, but occurs from time to time, while some change is appreciated, please don't be a passive-aggressive weirdo like this, it's not healthy)

As if taking it out on a cashier meant they're battling the evil system that wants their money. They're just making someone's day a little more crappy and making sure that the system will be even less forgiving. :S

Also, people treating cash register like an info booth - I'm not talking about the ones asking where actual info booth is (right across the corridor, 3m away, hab a nice day) but the ones demanding to be served info I do not posses because they don't want to wait in line. I suppose queues are oppressive too.

When you quit your job to focus more on school because engineering is hard, but you feel like a worthless piece of sh1t because you have no job anymore and you're basically just mooching off your parents who live overseas.
