Sika Deer

Posted Image

Model and skin components by HENDRIX and Ulquiorra

I'll let you know searching refs for this guy was awful, there are too many subspecies that most pictures don't state (or get them wrong), and then the summer vs winter coats are also very different, often two pics of the same subspecies look like completely different animals... In the end I went with a combination of the best quality pics + what suited the model better.

As I've stated before I don't like making subspecies so I'll call it just "Sika deer", however I'll try to cover them with variants so if you want a certain subspecies you just need to use the appropiate skin. If someone wants a coloration in particular just post a pic and I'll do my best.

A much needed deer. However I would like subspecies so if you could add variants that would be great

It looks wonderful! It was long overdue :) I think the transition between the different patches of skin could be smoother, but other than that it looks awesome.

It's like that on my ref :P but I'll make some with lighter necks.

Also I'm seriously considering giving it seasonal skins (at least lighter/spotted in summer and darker/faint spots in winter).

G'day mate

Looks really amazing, one of my favoruite species so aim very happy to see you working on a sika. Would be great with a variant resembling the Vietnamese Sika, as it is one of the most endangered subspecies in zoos.

Seasonal skins would be an awesome detail, but even without them it looks amazing!

It looks just as beautiful as I thought it would, Rayen! Can't wait to add these guys to Northwick :) I've already bought some Fishing Cats and Spectacled Owls for the zoo.
