As soon as I made a Formosan sika deer for myself you make one as well. How dare you! >:(

Kidding apart, this is one awesome deer and a very needed species.

Actually following recent studies there are 2 species of Sika deers (or even more if you count Formosan as different enough to be deemed a separate species, which would be Cervus taiouanus) :

- Cervus hortulorum (including the Dybowski, Vietnamese, Manchurian sika deers etc...)
- Cervus nippon (Japanese, Fromosan etc...)

Which is why subspecies are so different. This is not accepted by all authorities though and as such calling it Sika deer is in my opinion the good choice for now. :)

As -Vombat- said, the probably extinct in the wild Vietnamese sika deer is one of the commonest subspecies in captivity (in Europe at least) so a "redder" variant might be of use.

Maybe some variants like these as well? The Sika deer I've seen have been spotless deer like these ones

And maybe also a dark colured spotted variant,

Send me the skin and it could be one of the variants :P haha
Yeah I've been reading about them and I wish I could make some subspecies because at least Wikipedia states that C. n. mantchuricus is about twice as big as C. n. nippon, the big problem is I have trouble associating skins with subspecies, and it becomes even worse when you include seasonal skins, for example those deer linked by Ulquiorra are in winter coat, but how do they look in summer coat? Do they look like a fallow deer or are they darker/spotless during summer too?

In any case yeah I'll make red, spotless brown, black, and the albino/white variant.

Much they same, just less shaggy looking fur, maybe a little paler/fresher in colour. Also it seems to be the Japanese and Taiwanese sub-species which can appear spotless, then again most introduced populations of sika deer are Japanese sika, so that might explain why the ones I've seen, lack a noticeable spot pattern.

I'd honestly love too but unfortunately I used Ludozoo's red deer as a base, not Ulquiorra's elk. :/

Is it PD? The deer is really nice~ Can't wait to chop its head down to make a staghorn coral.

If the UV is the problem I can adapt it, if you used the skin then don't worry about it :P

Yes of course, though the model is already available if you want to use it (it's Ulquiorra's Rocky Mountain Elk, which is also PD)

Thanks to Ulquiorra once again for editing the model for me (new antlers, there is also an old life stage with larger antlers):

These are both using the same model (through the magic of alphas) so I can easily code them as either variants or seasonal skins, we'll see.
