This is so cool! I might want to try coding this into all the other existing deer we have, perhaps I will message you about that.. |

After some consideration we've added a two-point antler for a smoother transition.
That would be awesome, I've been meaning to write a seasonal coding tutorial so perhaps now is the time It's actually pretty easy once you have a working base animal.

I'd have to check each individual deer model, but if the antler and body model are separate (which is the case most of the time) then it's the same as for my sika and it would be easy to code antler growth. What I did was simply putting all antler models on a single deer model, then making them invisible or textured through seasonal coding (an idea I got from one of Thom's fish )

I think at least the red deer from EE has different growth stages and the antlers change as it grows, but i'm not sure

Correct, and that's the case for most other deer what I'm doing is making it a seasonal thing instead of a (purely) age thing.

I think that may have been me, when you were making your seasonal coat coding for your fox. This is just absolutely fantastic and looks like it is going to turn out amazing. Thank you so much for taking the suggestion and even going a step beyond and seeing if you can make antler sheds too. Again awesome job and I can't wait to use this animal. Well done! |
