Hello friends, welcome to the topic where published stories about in different places of the world. I hope you enjoy Traveler's Journal I - Kerguelen Islands Ha, ha, ha! Hello sailor what brings you here to this desolate land and ice mass loss between the Indian Ocean and north of the Antarctic ice? Ha, ha, ha! Do not tell me you're one of those crazy environmentalists or scientists ... Well you came to the right place my friend freshwater, this is my home, Kerguelen Islands, as you'll see there is not much population, most are like you scientists, environmentalists, and others ... I for one am all a sailor but I do to help my smart friends in everything I can. ![]() Wondering that's interesting about this floating rock, well follow me on my boat and grab that camera chicho strong and photograph the beautiful coastline, notice hemosos cliffs, rocks and snow, all to delight the eye. ![]() Beautiful?, Right? Then come over here, this place is a haven for birds and mammals ...Stay where you are! Look some king penguins (Aptenodytes patagonicus) this is one of their nesting sites. ![]() Hey! Look attentive to those rocks, is a southern elephant seal (Mirounga leonina), is a large male. Do not make much noise! I do not want him angry this beast! ![]() You've impressed! When to put the icing on the cake, look at those beautiful Macaroni Penguins, and look are a couple. ![]() Well here we are running late and the other geeks will wonder where we are, we stop to take photos and go. ![]() I'm using Google Traslator to translate to We apologize for translation errors. |

Wonderful photos MasterChief though I'm not too convinced about some of the rocks you used, like those pillars in the 2nd and 4th pictures

I like the foliage but don't think the environment fits either penguin. |

I like your picture of the fat Elephant seal. Such a strange looking yet dangerous beast.

I can't believe i just found this thread Those pics are amazing, i love the foliage placement. The landscape remind me of Puerto Madryn and the patagonian coasts. Although i think the cliff in the back has a very strong texture and are to bright, but that is not your fault.
