So, today we had a massive Earthquake of 7.9 on scale - my mother was shocked. :P I was taking out my books and they all fell out of the shelf. We ran outdoors and many others followed us.

Many people apparently died in Nepal. We didn't have much effect at all, except for the construction site cracks.
Oh. Good thing you aren't trapped in between the ocean and the mountains unlike *coughLAcough*. And you aren't in California so I'm sure you won't be expecting any larger earthquakes, or tsunamis for that matter.

Well, In fact, we are locked in between the proper himalayan range and the bay of Bengal. So, yeah. Also, the second largest Earthquake ever recorded occurred in the West Bengal region - the first being in the mediterranean IIRC.

I seriously don't get why you americans want to be the first in everything. It's a serious earthquake - you want to be trapped in a 9.9 earthquake being surrounded by wonderful beaches and high mountains? Yeah, sure. Control your greed. -.-
Okay but are the mountains and the ocean directly touching your city. And we are actually expecting a 9.0 earthquake in the future.
Nothing of it is to be proud about. The mountains aren't directly touching my city, but my state.
Good luck. My city has two borders. The Santa Monica Mountains, no really some of my city is in a valley, and the Pacific Ocean. But don't worry. Right now I'm wondering how the heck does a Korean Taco actually exist.

Going to Tulsa Zoo today. I'll get to see some species I haven't for a long, long time and some I haven't ever seen before.

A second shock wave struck us today, maybe it was at a lesser frequency- but still clearly perceivable. I'm kinda scared now. :P

I'm thinking of getting an anole or a leopard gecko. Now I have two questions.

1)Which one?
2)When should I ask my mom if I can get one.

Anoles prefer to be housed with more than one, if you're talking bout the common brown or green anoles commonly sold in pet shops. They'll also need UVB, being diurnal lizards. They'll need a lot of space (20-30 gallons preferably, for 1 male and 2 females) and hiding spots as well.

Leopard geckos are best kept alone. A 10-20 gallon tank suits best, and they need no UVB, being nocturnal. They can get heat via infrared bulb or under tank heater.

Get a leopard gecko if you only want one.
Get anoles if you want them to breed like rabbits.

Get a leopard gecko if you only want one.
Get anoles if you want them to breed like rabbits.
Or he could get a Cuban Knight if he wants only one.

That is also correct, those are awesome.
