My laptop had a blue screen of death and I couldn't start up chrome, thankfully I had a chrome installer on my laptop still to fix it.

I come from a family of immigrants, so not really a convict...

@Viggen thank you for settling the great debate, Sydney wins (for now)

Although yes it depends what you prefer. Sydney is an outdoor city, great for people who want open living spaces and enjoy grand views meanwhile Melbourne is an indoor city, great bars and nice accommodation. Although Melbourne would be pretty low on my 'to visit' list. Brisbane would probably be second place to live for me. (If I had to move)

A wisent has been spotted in Germany. The first time in 250 years! Unfortunately the local authorities shot it because they weren't sure if it was a danger for humans. They thought the wisent could have escaped from captivity and therefore wouldn't be afraid of humans.
But there are some hints that the wisent was wild and came from Poland...

I really can't understand why the authorities shot the animal. There wasn't any specific problem. No one was in danger...
But it shows that German authorities don't know what to do with large, wild animals that were extinct here. The same happened years ago with a brown bear...

Nevertheless, I'm happy that wisents are apparently coming back! Same for moose. There is an increasing amount of sightings. This year even calves have been seen. They probably are the first wild moose born in Germany in a very long time!
We've had the same issue with brown bears in northern Italy lately.
Two collared females were shot after attacks on humans which turned out to be provoked, thus they were not even classifiable as dangerous individuals and in the end this is just spreading a senseless fear of bears which will further hinder their recovery.

- literally nobody read any of this anyway -
Can you guys stop with the Australian city battles? The Telegraph's list of the top 50 cities in the world, #1-5 goes like this:

#1 - Cape Town
#2 - Vancouver (CANADA)
#3 - Venice
#4 - Sydney
#5 - Tokyo
with Melbourne at #17.
So stop. Please. The unbiased Brits who wrote the list know better than a couple of extremely biased Australians.

(The list)
It's the 'best cities', not the most livable. Note that Venice is in #3. It's a beautiful and somewhat original city, sure, but having been there in Summer, I can say it stinks to high heaven of manure and other things you don't want to know about, and the mosquitoes are even worse. And that's not to mention the fact that cities with massive wealth gaps are there too, such as Rio de Janeiro or Cape Town. And seriously, what in blazes is Nice doing there? The beaches aren't even pretty.

Well really it is a battle of opinions. I would say Edinburgh is the best city but that is only 'cause I live here and have never lived anywhere else. But we are the best

How does that make sense, though? Vancouver, Toronto, and Calgary are #1, 2, and 4 on the list of the most expensive cities to live in Canada, (avg. house price ~$750 000) so how does that make them "liveable"?

One cannot piss anywhere on your rock without hitting someone, so there's definitely better.

Can we stop talking about people's favourite cities, I mean I have no problem against it but when it resumes to

"My city is better"

"No mine is better"

It isn't very interesting.

The categories for ranking are safety, education, hygiene, health care, culture, environment, recreation, political-economic stability, public transport and access to goods and services. Both Melbourne and Sydney are expensive too, but Sydney is more expensive than Melbourne. The rankings only compare 140 cities, so it may be that they didn't compare many other Canadian cities.

EDIT: Haha alright, I'll take the win and move on. :)

Yeah Sydney's expensive but it is only because it's the most livable Australian city, I mean that is why most of the Australian population lives in Sydney.

but I digress, have a hospitality/culinary exam tomorrow. >_> <_<
