I love it when scientists are like, "Hey, we just discovered a brand-new planet just like Earth that probably supports life

^if I'm honest the only reason I know about that game is because of the Reddit EA drama xD

Well apparently Peru is going to the World Cup next year. I never really cared about soccer but still, finally doing it after like 35 years is huge!
and I also got a day off school because of that so yay

i was so hyped for that game until i found out that EA requires you to pay your parent's salary and sell your soul to unlock only one of the heroes.

Going to warn the most of you.
Spoiler: click to toggle

Also, Not much of an EA guy, but that reddit post completely turned me off from the game

Lmao maybe that was true a week ago, but the endless swarms of ragers caused DICE to reduce the Hero Prices by 75%. Also, on a much more interesting note, they removed all micro transactions from the game earlier today, so anything one could consider "Pay too Win" in the game is completely gone

****REMOVED TEMPORARILY****

meaning EA is probably gonna pull another money-milking stunt like a "haha sike, the free trial is over now so now you gotta pay up for all the goodies you grabbed. if you don't pay, kiss it goodbye."

after seeing the controversy with EA, i'm not even gonna touch any of these games unless the P2W is confirmed to be COMPLETELY gone.

G'day mate

Any anglers on here? For the past three years I have lived in a small town with a VERY large angling community and a profound hate of otters. This is usually the topic of the week down at the local pub which is the reason I have tried to stay clear of that place.

However today I had lunch there with some neighbors which is active in the local angling community. Their argument was that otters basically went extinct in the country back in the 1970s (seemingly due to natural causes?) but they are now recovering rapidly largely due to "do-gooders" re-introducing them everywhere without the consideration of local angling communities and people trying to make a living through fish farming.

It is common knowledge that otters declined massively and ultimately went extinct in large parts of Sweden in the 1960s/70s (much earlier in this part of the country) due to pesticides polluting rivers and they are important indicators of the health of rivers. Gotta love certain elements of the angling community moaning about the harm otters cause whilst being totally ignorant to the damage their actions/hobby does to native species by introducing non-native species. Where I live native freshwater fish is very rare now due to anglers releasing whatever they see fit into lakes/river systems without any second thoughts.
