You know what's weird? The Lion King is really dark. I mean, Imagine if they were people. Psycho dude murders his own brother and tries to take over the world. Then gets killed by his angry followers.

Also, if you name your kid Scar, you're just setting them up for a bad life! I mean really! BAD PARENTING.

Well to be fair Farkle, many of the old Disney movies were based on extremely dark works. Lion King was basically a take off of Hamlet, the Little Mermaid book still freaks me out to this day, and the less said about the actual endings of Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Jungle Book the better

Oh. I did not know this. And good point, Murdock.

Now I'm feeling angry.

Well fairy tales are dark stories, at least the original ones. And like Murdock said, The Lion King is based on Hamlet, so in the original source they actually were people :P

Oh, yes I remember Little Red Riding Hood as an original tale. The wolf was a rapist of some sort, IIRC. Which is pretty obvious tbh, 'talking' to little girls in the woods...

His name was Taka, but in an attempt to get Simba to fail (or even better killed) as children, Taka was scarred across the eye by a buffalo.

And from that point on, he told everyone to refer to him as Scar, so that he would never forget or something like that.

To get Simba to fail or Mufasa? Simba wouldn't have been born when Scar was a child...

I've not seen the movie in years...
