Thank you for the set, Azrael!

Doesn't she bleed everywhere and make a mess? And get impregnated by strays?

Here, virtually all pet dogs are altered.

mine aren't too.
and if by chance one of them is in heat during hunting season, it just stays at home.

Have you seen where I live ? xD
And no, she doesn't leave blood everywhere. We find very few blood tracks.

You can put diapers on them, or just keep them in a crate during. And just don't let stay dogs get close lol.

We let her wander :) She doesn't do anything really.
Besides, I hardly even imagine stray dogs here :

The mother of our lab was impregnated through a chainlink fence. O.o

We have a lot of strays here.

Which I'm sure probably made noise, all you have to do is be a little observant and not let your dog stay outside 24-7 or just keep a close watch on her.

Hell, even a collar with tags around her neck that jingles lol

Lol, no collar here, no stray dogs.
My dog is calm even when in heat.

My dog doesn't act any differently during heat either.

Stuck on Earth

Our dog spilled blood EVERYWHERE, even with diaper. Now we have some fancy pinkish stains on our floor. I don‘t think dogs act any different during heat, mine didn‘t act weird either.

1) We have a steam cleaner in our house.
2) The moment we would notice they were in heat (small spots of blood when they sit), it was crate time until the week was over and we steam-cleaned the carpets before it stained.

Our original dog, the Cocker Spaniel was never spayed, she was nine years old when she died and she died because she was never spayed which is why we're going to spay Ruby soon.

But I look extensively at multiple websites and spoke to our vet about when to do it. Apparently the hormones triggered during the first heat decrease the chances of some forms of cancer or possible growth issues or even temperament. And spaying them afterwards prevents them from the rest of the possible dangers.

*changes subject*

I'm watching Chili try to hide. I say try because her tail is still sticking out from under the couch.
