Evolving creatures from earth.

But the whole group crosses the line IMO
The both groups crosses the line and I think its right what the staff has done. Warning them all would give the forum even more negative reaction then it has got now ;)

Well, the guy got a warn. Do you really think we would let that pass ?
Then why the gag-order on the rest of it? I don't understand why one person being blatantly offensive would necessitate everyone being told that anything anti-religious or anti-nonreligious is banned from the topic. Shouldn't the staff be able to tell the difference between someone poking fun and someone being a complete dick?
Sadly, the staff is composed of several humans and the line between humor and being a dick is quite moveable depending of the person. Some Christians were offended by the atheist images and some were not, and some atheists were offended by the Christian images and some were not. The staff prefers to avoid anyone being offended.

By the way, glorifying whatever you want is okay. Denouncing stuff made by members of the opposite side(s) is okay. Denying their beliefs is not :)

Just saying, again, except for when we started venerating Hitler, nobody on that side was.

People are allowed to be offended by something intended to be humorous. The distinction that the staff are failing to recognize is reaction versus intent. If an image "denouncing" a set of beliefs is intended to be humorous or thought provoking, and some precious snowflake sheds a tear over a goddamn joke, then punishing the many for the sake of the few over REACTION instead of INTENT is stupid and lazy.

Someone who is trolling for a reaction, or is obviously posting things to BE offensive (like the aforementioned Hitler shit), deserves to be WARNED, and their posts modified by staff. Someone who posts something with the intent to be funny should not be subject to the same punishment.

At what point are we going to draw the line? How much can we discuss or not discuss before someone, somewhere on the forum takes offense? By molly-coddling the weakest amongst us by trying to eliminate "controversy" or "potentially offensive material" you're stagnating the community's ability to talk to one another, and learn to separate the dislike of a set of beliefs from the dislike of the person who holds them.

This entire fiasco started over one person posting completely outrageous material and resulted in the lockdown of a larger portion's ability to discuss, post, and share what they're interested in.

It's lazy. You've warned the person who created the problem, situation solved. The next time someone crosses the line, warn them as well. Making "the line" ANYTHING that could potentially be critical of someone's beliefs is--at least for me--intuitively wrong.

It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.

perhaps you could punish people by removing animals from their pointies zoo or taking off pointies.

That wouldn't mind the people themself. Just get some posts and you have your pointies back :/

But who was the one that started with this stuff. Who was the first one using hitler in his "jokes"
