He took my burden

I guess we're just all little children pretending to each other that we're like 16 or like 20 years old.

Well, emotionally I'd say most of us are mature, we just have rather eccentric interests.

And if you can tolerate musk, king snake is another good choice! xD
From what I know from professional handlers, king snakes are not a good choice at all for newbies, given they're very aggressive, contrarily to corn snakes, which are an excellent choice.
My king snake Spitfire is the most docile thing ever lived on earth, and yes it is my first snake.

It's depend on subspecies and temperament of individual as well. For example, California and Mexican Black are known to be more aggressive, while Brook and Desert are more docile. but yeah, I agree that in majority, corn snake is more docile.

I'm not slow! That's just my moe!

if you have the space than squamates are probably your best bet for interaction

I'm not slow! That's just my moe!

were talking about recommendations for "first reptile"
basically I'd split it into categories first
these are just off the top of my head

large, interactive
- lots of interaction, as much as any bird or mammal if not more
iguanas
monitor lizards
tortoise
alligator, not great for beginners
python, not great for beginners
tegu

small-medium, display
- can be arboreal, aquatic, or terrestrial, best not to handle very often, but you can on occasion
fresh water turtles/frogs/salamanders
terrestrial skinks/geckos
chameleons, not good for beginners
crabs, aquatic or land
small arboreal lizards, such as anoles

medium, interactive
- you can't handle most of them as much as a comparable mammal or bird, but can still handle them
bearded dragons
king snakes
corn snakes
water dragons

small, interactive
- you can expect a fair amount of interaction for something of the size
arboreal geckos
large land crabs
a few species of treefrogs

I would agree with that list, but my gecko is much more that last category xD

I don't handle her all that often, but she often just sits there and watches me. Especially if I'm in my room playing my Xbox.

Thanks for the recommendations guys :P

ugh... whenever I load TRT with Chrome I get a popup and then a virus tries to install itself on my computer, and I really can't be bothered to have to deal with that

aaaaand so now I'm using IE for TRT. So slow ;_; but I'd prefer slow to a virus

Just pretty much got home from football scrimmage. Crushed the team we were playing so now we're 3-0 for our preseason. Now I'm hungry and am about to go make some chicken.
