I saw this one in Witton's new book, and immediately thought, "Man, we need one of these things for ZT2..." It looks great! Your Australian megafauna are excellent too; its nice to see extinct mammals get some love. |

Never heard of this pterosaur before, but it looks bloody awesome! Still looking forward to the release of your megafauna from down under as well.

Since you haven't responded to my request to be a tester, I'm assuming that means you have enough testers by now. That's fine with me, though. I'm just waiting for this awesome stuff to be released.

Sure, I am doing well. So who followed my posts with open eyes, might have seen this coming: ![]() ( the upper line is: adult male, adult female, juvenile, young ) I in fact planned to make this animal over weekend, but after seeing Tyranchu's awesome version at his photography thread ( check it out, it is very good ), I shortly made up my mind. When he told me it was PU, I switched back on doing it. The Deinotherium is already finished , you just need to wait for my tester to finish testing it. I might make some more elephants in the near future, since I seriously need some training on modelling them and they are rather easy to skin and experiment on. But for now: what do you think ? |

nice work on the skin but i think you should work more on the "lines" on the proboscis, right now they look just painted on it rather than skin wrapples. |

These are in fact stripes on the Deinotherium trunk. As I said I'd experiment a bit ( with colours and layers ). Here is my today's experiment. ![]() If you want the Prodeinotheirum, write in here , otherwise I will keep it as a PU. Any way, please write in hear and tell me what you think about it. ( And yes, it is a new model, but I only adjusted some smaller things like trunk, front legs and tusks. The main difference is the size ) |

It looks very nice, but I'm not sure it has anything to offer us that your Deinotherium doesn't, so it's fine with me if you keep it PU.

Thank you. It is basically a smaller, less expensive version of it. |

As I said on Pangaea, I think everyone wants it, but as you say, the model isn't on its right shape ![]() And the skin is just too brown and the texture can hardly be seen But it is up to you whether you want to keep it or release it

Well, the differences are basically the trunk, the skin over the tusks and the ears. All this is not preserved from the fossil records ( and you are using artwork from a different Prodeinotherium species, they in fact looked quite different ). About the texture, I can't increase the sharpness anymore, since it is already on its upper limit. Furthermore the textures are pretty visible apart from the trunk imo. And I personally like the colour since it is different from the union-grey that all prehistoric elephants seem to share. And that's why I decided to experiment. |
