I said I did not have time to do further testing so I said go on and pick another tester. I even deleted my file of it so that I don't have it to distribute. |

Two announcements. I finally got the Ischigualastia in the uploading forum, so it should be available sooner or later. However after that disastrous testing run, I will change the testing again and will try to release beta versions that - though having a short testing by myself for the primary, easily noticeable bugs like zoopedia and missing skins - might have bugs, but don't have to. Those can be tested by everyone who wants. Then everyone who has the spare time to actually use my creations, can tell me via PM if there are any bugs. Once I have it confirmed that there are none left, I will put that version in the uploading section. Now the next, probably more interesting part. I have seen AJ's version, and it looks great ( and so different from mine in fact ). Actually my first planning had the Atopeodentatus using a similar colouration, though with a bit beige in it. With AJ using a similar colour, I didn't want that colouration anymore to avoid competition and too much similarity ( so I could use both in case of its release ). Instead I decided to use amore likely colouration. The first draft was a marine iguana-like colour/pattern, but I switched to sand tiger shark soon afterwards. And here is the outcome: ![]() It probably isn't my bests kin, but I still like it very much. The texture is a mix of komodo dragon, eroded metal, leather and a tissue. It also taught me the lesson that the "shitty-in-gimp-nice-in-nifskope" method works both ways. At first the tissue skin fold looked totally awesome in gimp, but the outcome in nifskope was pretty much crap. I now made a compromise with it being "meh" in both instances. At least the rigging turned out better than I thought, I haven't seen any distortions so far and the only problem I have is that it has its forelegs in the ground while walking. I hope you like it and can't wait for your comments. |
