Do all Australians have the typical Aussie accent :P ?
Franco, Well... That depends on a few things:

1. What do you mean by the typical Australian accent? There are several varieties and although they are all similar, some are a little different to others. I suppose you mean the kind seen in movies, which is usually either: a) a fake Australian accent or b) an exaggerated authentic Australian accent
2. How long has <person> been in the country? I think about 30% of Australia's population or something are only first-generation Australians and a lot of these people have less of an Australian accent.
3. Which part of Australia have they been living in? Country blokes have much stronger accents than the people who live in urban areas generally. There are also differences between states, territories etc.

I have an Australian accent apparently but I don't notice it myself :P

Furka: well, if the only Australian you'd heard of or knew was Steve Irwin, you'd begin to think of most Australians in that way... Obviously not the same but similar qualities :)

I still don't buy that Australians are only the average tough. It might seem that way to you guys. However I've never seen a fat australian on TV. I know there is fat australians. However I'd argue it seems in my area atleast 1 out of 2 americans is overweight. With 1 out of 4 being obese.

The Average Australian #3

SEXY TANNED SURFERS: #3
This is another stereotype that I have heard a lot of and it is only partially true. Pretty much none of how Australians are portrayed in movies is accurate but there is a lot of surfing in Australia. It is still an inaccurate stereotype as, although many surf, we are not all the sexy surfers that apparently many make us out to be. As for the tanning... Well I don't really know how different it is here to other countries but I personally burn not tan. :P

As for being fit... That is complete garbage. Australia is just like any other wealthy nation with an overdose of media in this regard. We are honestly not that different from America. Australia is one of the fattest nations in the world, with something like two thirds of the population being overweight, which is very similar to the United States. Over a third of these overweight people are even classed as obese. We do, however, also have a number of fit and healthy people, just like many countries do. Everyone in my class, take one or two, are of healthy weight and size. I know many people who play sport. We are not all obese and unhealthy, but we are certainly not the fit, perfectly-bodied people that the stereotype suggests.

Surfing... I love surfing (or at least trying to surf) but I have so far only tried it twice in my life. Supposedly, 10% of the population surf, but I must admit that I only know 1 guy that's surfing every week. Surfing is a big part of Australia and it is a lot more popular here than in other countries, so I can understand this part of the stereotype. Personally, I know a lot more guys who play cricket, footy, soccer or basketball though.

So, yes, a lot of Australians surf. Does that mean we are all sexy, tanned surfers? No. Does it mean that many of us are sexy, tanned surfers? No. It's the same with Australia and every other country really. To be honest, I know more fat guys who don't play sport than young surfers.

Thank you for the set, Azrael!

I always thought of Australians as being like Americans, the main difference being instead of deer and squirrels in your yards you would get koalas and wallabies.

No not native fauna as far as I'm aware... Except some Indigenous Australians who still live in tribes and stuff do still hunt some animals for food I believe. Otherwise, it's mostly all illegal. Introduced species like foxes and deer are hunted though :)

@Meerkatmatt... That's awesome! Which part of Australia are you from? I'm from Melbourne myself :P
