I cannot ride a unicycle unfortunately but I can ride a bicylce and even a tricycle! I'm so talented.

A walrus that sings. I would keep it in my pool and sing whichever songs it sings, on condition that they are not Justin Bieber songs. Walruses are just more awesome than meese.

I don't really know what animal would describe me best. I'm probably a mix of animals... I am energetic, crazy and like to joke around like a monkey... But then I can also be super serious and mature like a... tawny frogmouth. Except I usually can't be that still for that long, I don't look like a tree stump, I don't have a yellow mouth and I don't eat mice. (I once got to feed a dead mouse to a tawny frogmouth and it was awesome :D)

If I had a bakery, I would name my puppy Legolas because then it would go perfectly with my beardie, Gimli. I would also name my Bakery "Middle Hearth" and it would sell donuts... Because donuts are the one rings that rule them all!

Tutorials in Powerpoint: Lesson 1

Making a Silhouette in Powerpoint

Please Click Here to See the Tutorial

If the above link doesn't work, tell me.

Posted Image
Open up Powerpoint and copy a photograph onto a new slide. The photograph can be of whatever animal you like and it should show the animals whole body in a side on stance that will make it easily recognizable as a silhouette. You can adjust the size without making the image out of proportion using the white circles in the corner. You can rotate the image using the green circle.

Posted Image
Now that the photograph has been adjusted to a appropriate size, click the Insert tab at the top of the program and from the shapes drop-down box, select the "Curve" tool. This will give the silhouette a nice smooth edge.

Posted Image
Begin to trace the animal in your photograph by clicking on the edge of the animal in the photograph and continuing to click along the edge to form a silhouette. The shape is created when you either return to the starting point, or you double click in the same point.

Posted Image
Once you have created your silhouette, click on it and select the Format tab up the top of the program to edit the colours. For a simple one-colour silhouette, you will only need to change the "Shape Fill".

Posted Image
As you will see here, I have only made part of the caribou as a silhouette at the moment. That is because there is an area where the antlers make a sort of ring. If I tried to make the animal as a single shape, the area where the two antlers overlap (red arrow) would not show up. Most animal silhouettes won't have this problem and can usually be made as one shape, but it is often better to create the silhouette in parts just in case you make a mistake.

Posted Image
When you have created all the parts of your silhouette, select and delete the reference image. There is still a problem, however. If you wanted to rotate or adjust this silhouette in any way, it may be difficult as it is still in different parts. The next two steps will show you how to group the different shapes as one silhouette.

Posted Image
Click a corner of the slide and drag to select every shape involved in the silhouette.

OR

Hold Ctrl as you select each of the shapes individually.

Posted Image
Right click on the silhouette once all the boxes are selected, and select "Group" and "Group" again. If you wish to change its rotation, colour or size now, you can do so and the whole silhouette will be affected. When you are happy with your silhouette, right click on it and select "Save as Picture".

Nice Tutorial Danny. Although that is what I did already, I know there are a lot of people who didn't.

i've often met the same problem with antlers.
usually i just deleted part of the antler and recreated it later (with Paint).

Thank you for the set, Azrael!

That is a lot easier than how I made my silhouettes - drawing them freehand in Paint. :/
