Has anyone here ever seen a rare animal in the wild? The rarest animal I ever saw is probably a Gray Wolf.

The rarest animal I've seen is the Andean Condor.

I've not seen any endangered animal but the rarest I've seen was a buzzard-eagle.

Lammergeiers are still 3rd best bird.
I also saw some griffon vultures where their populations are still scarce.

Rarest would be an African Elephant or African Wild Dog. Over here? Beaver is all I saw here that cannot be seen daily xD

I once saw a possible key deer. Not sure if it was actually one though...

When I was in Florida in summer of 2012, I saw a pair of either whooping cranes or Florida sandhill cranes on the golf course outside the condo I was staying in.

Rarest/most endangered? Not exactly sure. Green Sea Turtle is a good contender, but so is the Golden Eagle.

I've seen a leucistic American Kestrel once, a Silver Fox, and several Agassiz's Tortoise.

The most elusive animal I've seen has to be a Mountain Lion.
