I think I'd like to start off by talking about two of the most important staff members here, whom if it weren't for them, well this place wouldn't be here. Of course you know who I'm talking about, zozmonster and Danny! Now I'm not trying to discredit any of our other staff, they are pretty awesome and I'm gonna talk about them too in a later post, but I'd like to start off by talking about my best friend Susan, AKA zozmonster, zebrasorus, zozy, ZS, and an endless list of nicknames, most of which would make you turn your head in curiosity due to their randomness and.... randomness. I met Susan a long time ago.... well more then a year ago, but it feels like ten. So we've been good friends for a long time. She really helped me as I was becoming active in the community, and if she wasn't here to make me get online every hour of the day I would have left.... a year ago. When I had the idea for the original TRT it was just an idea. I wasn't about to try it alone, and zozy obviously thought it was worth the shot. From day one she has been an encourager. She's so optimistic and I don't think she has a grudge against anyone. If you're looking for motivation (who isn't?) Susan is like... that motivation. So when I decided to recreate TRT with tons of new features I knew I needed her, if only for her motivation, but I also needed someone else. Someone I could beat-up if need be and also someone who would help me lead the forum. Fortunately I had known this guy for over a year as well, and he was also Susan's boyfriend... bam, double. Someone to motivate my motivation. I think it was at the original TRT that a group of people, including Danny somehow had access to the Staff Room. It was random at first, but they didn't do anything wrong and started giving good advice so we left it. Danny was very inspirational and we made him VIP if I remember correctly, and later mod, assistant admin and soon he was a lead admin. How he did this I don't know, but in our time of crisis at the Original TRT , even though he wasn't even supposed to be in the Staff Room he was leading, asking how to help, and even making lists, giving orders and giving jobs. Danny is a leader... whether its natural or not I'm not sure. He also is a do-er. I don't think that's a word but he doesn't just wait for things to happen, nor does he just dream of things, but he does them. So a couple months after deciding to start make a new TRT I talked to Susan about it, and shared some of my ideas with her about it. I'm not sure why i was surprised at her optimism. But that's not near all I got. Susan has worked really hard to make this place how it is. Susan is an artist. She loves music and art. Maybe its the feeling of a good design, good color mix, or band, I'm not sure, but a main thing she brought to this forum is the feeling. Her goal was to make this place have an atmosphere like no other forum I've been on. I'm not sure how to explain how she did it, but trust me she did cuz I know I didn't. Zozy, also found, edited, and created the icons for this beautiful theme. The theme I picked, looking back was... pathetic. I could list a lot that Susan has done to make this site, but that's not the point of this topic, though one other thing I would like to say is how many things she has stopped me from instituting here... and its a lot. I have had tons of ideas- and the main pass is the Susan Pass. If it gets by her then its past the test for whats best for the forum, community, and logically. It also has a 80% (on the spot stat) chance of passing the danny test, which basically considers if its a good idea or not.... ok well maybe its more complicated then that  Ok so I ask Danny to join, and he basically says no... wow. So Susan asks Danny, and he explains that he doesn't think he's fit to be admin here. Ok so I ask him again and he says he'l help put it together but would like to be a member when we open. :') This is why I love danny, he is a humble dude. I heard once that a true leader will never find himself fit to be one... well that would be danny. No one would deny his ability to lead, and if you do I'm gonna talk about that shortly, but he is amazingly humble. I don't think I've ever heard him talk down.... on anyone, ever. I like to think of myself as an idea giver. I had the idea of the forum, and the amazing idea to bring Susan and Danny into it, but the fact is that Danny is more then just a simple idea giver or maker or whatever you want to call it, he's also a do-er as I've said. I also said that do-er isn't a real word, rather something I made up on the spot to describe danny. If it weren't for Danny, well I would have a pretty awesome looking forum thanks to Susan... and I might have some members.... maybe, but I'd probably still be trying to figure out some kind of floating menu or ultimate download system that is totally pointless and would take forever to make. Instead, usually I can give an idea in the staff forum, and many a times have I woken up to actually see that idea as a feature on the board some-how.... cool right? So yeah, I just thought I'd share that, if you read it all I'm gonna give you a hand, and a tiger for your zoo.... just kidding  Ok maybe next time I'll tell some stories, or talk about some members or other staff here. It all depends Thanks for reading... or skipping to the this last sentence, whatever you did.

I skipped the second to almost last word of the last paragraph. Anyway, I feel Danny & Susan, as well as yourself make an excellent trio. Not to mention, some of the more family-like staff I've seen. (I mean, save for Umpa and I.  )

This is very true. BUT, it was rather interesting reading that. I've never really thought of Danny as humble... I mean, I just never have. But nonetheless, it was intriguing to read that, Jragon. |

Well, the three of us have several things in common. 1. We occasionally play arrogant. I don't think any of us really are though 2. We all have have been in the community for about the same amount of time, and have simlar views on the community and life ( I think thats more then one but whatever) 3. We all like using these little dot thingies that look like periods but float in the air... I mean if you ask the average guy on the street what Option/Alt+8 = he wont know, but I mean how can you not know how to make the dot ••••••? |

Well that was... wow. *hugs Josh* I think I'm allowed to post in here, so I guess I will. When Josh told me this place was reopening, it was during a bit of change in my community life. Before, I really hung out with whoever I thought were the "cool" people and did what they did. Fake was kind of an obsession. I won't deny I was really friends with those people, and with most, still am, but I think I should have cared more about who was a good friend than who made me look cool. Right before Josh mentioned the Round Table, I made the realization that I was basically being a jerk. I also saw that a lot of other people seemed to be stuck in the same kind of ditch; trying to fit in, get noticed. When I got this new look at things, I wanted a change. I started making new, and better friends. Not necessarily ones who were widely recognized, but ones that would stand by me. I think a lot of people have noticed that it's really a community-side attitude; that need to be in a cool clique. That's why, when Josh said the Round Table could come back, I seized the opportunity. I wanted this site to be a place where people could be more themself, not worrying about whether or not the cool members notice them. Most of the most famous have a good home already, and wouldn't need to come here, but the lesser known need a place to be where they're seen just as much as anyone else. It's why we added a spotlight section in our newletter, it's why we as staff try to be nice to everyone. I want everyone to feel welcome and accepted here, because I believe everyone deserves to be. I guess that was my dream for this place. You guys can tell me whether that succeeded or not. |

Glad to see a topic like this. I read the whole thing. At 4:20 AM Lawl. Yeah I have never really seen any of the admins here hate anyone which is weird. Thats one thing in common they have with me. They try not to hate anyone wether in RL or not. The only difference is I'd say they succeeded. My dad drives me crazy and its hard for you not to hate at times when he is constantly trying to get you to hate him but thats for another topic. Does the staff here take questions in this topic? Which of you three were friends first? |

erm... I think it was pretty close. I think I PMed Danny before I met Susan, and she likewise, but I don't believe relationship really grew too much with him till later on, where as Susan and I talked like... every day XD This is at least to my best knowledge and memory. |

My fish is apparently very famous.  :fish: Anyways, yes, you definitely succeeded in making this a place were lesser-known members could be recognized. I never won one of these forum competitions until I joined this site. |

Yeah I never really won a major contest until here also. I still haven't came in first but I came in second more then once. I do feel a lot of people usually just vote for the stars of the community however not here. |

@FP: I think we all like big cats. I like lions, susan likes the jaguar and obviously danny likes tigers, but I should probably let then talk for themselves as I know I like other animals as well... mostly mythical though, such as the unicorn and certain dragons XD @Furka: Who needs a banner when you have fish? and thanks for expressing yourself, that really was what I hoped to achieve in this blog to be honest.@Flish: you did a fantastic job on the fish @CRG: which is one of the reasons we don't even say who made it until the end. Thanks for sharing
