So, yeah, I decided to start a blog, First of all, I don't expect you to be interested in my stories, neither do I expect you to read them, but if you do, I hope you'll enjoy them. ![]() In this blog I'll put some stories down, show progress on various things (like graphics), and you can basically ask me anything you want. But yeah, Let's start with today right. ![]() So today my dad and I did some adjusments on our chicken 'indoor exhibit' (not sure what to call it). It's basically just a little barn. We are expecting chicks of one of our Dutch Bantams in a few days. Possibly also from our Sussex Bantams in a few weeks. We made a little area in the barn where the chicks and the mother can walk around safely. Pictures Today I also decided to empty our indoor pond, previously known als turtle pond but now housed a few goldfish for a while. I'm planning on to house a few musk turtles in it again in the future, so I decided to completely restart it. So now it's empty, I'm cleaning it soon, and putting a new filter on it. Pictures So that was that, now you can ask questions.

Okay, question time. Lol 1. What's your favourite zoo and why? 2. If you could choose between battling 50 horse-sized ducks or 1 duck-sized horse, what would you choose? 3. If you could have any animal as a pet, which one would you choose and why? |

Lol well okay, 1. Rotterdam Zoo, because it's quite an older zoo, with nice architecture, but they are also building a lot of new exhibits. They also have quite a few species I really like; Okapis, Bongos and Black and Rufous Elephant Shrews (they are awesome). Also, it's only a 30 minutes-drive from my home, so it's quite nearby. Rotterdam Zoo just finished a new building, called Amazonica, which I visited yesterday. It's a medium-sized tropical hall ment for mainly butterflies, but also houses reptiles and fish. The plants still need to grow and quite a lot species still have to be added, but it looks pretty good already. Another park I also like is Burgers' Zoo, because of their eco-displays. It really shows you the environment the animals live in, although in Burgers' Bush a lot of animals come from diffrent continents. ![]() 2. Probably one duck-sized horse, because it would be easier. Battling 50 horse-sized ducks would be more fun though. Because ducks are awesome. 3. That's quite a hard question, I'd love to set up a zoo in real life someday. I like bongos, okapis and elephant shrews as mentioned before, but I also love any species of anteater or marmosets. More realistic would be pheasants, certain species of ducks/geese or alpacas. Hope I fully answered your questions. ![]() Sooooo... anywaysssss.. Yesterday I went to Rotterdam Zoo, because I had a meeting of a Dutch Zootycoon site with around 20 people. Some of the people you might know, like Jasper, Tom and Gerben, but there were also a lot of other Dutch members which don't play Zootycoon anymore these days. I'll probably posting some pictures of animals today/soon. But there's not very much to tell about the meeting I guess. As I mentioned before, I also visited the new display of Rotterdam Zoo, called Amazonica yesterday (It opened the day before that). The fish and reptiles aren't there yet because of the water quality and water temperature. ![]() A part of Amazonica, picture with a weird effect because of a studded camera (is that the right word?) by me. What also happened yesterday, the Dutch Bantam eggs hatched! We now have four beautiful Bantam chicks. Mother and kids are both doing fine, and the little chicks are very curious about anything that happens. But the mother really protects them very well. ![]() ![]() Sorry for the bad picture, they're just too fast.

I love the eggs hatching. Mainly cause I love chicks. Its not to hot there? Cause hot chicks aren't always a good thing.

So.. Not that my blog is really popular, but I guess I should show a graphic I made a little while ago.. It's basically some sea bird - sea turtle creature mix (V1), I might make some adjustments to it in the future if I feel like I should. ![]()
