Potato's a little on the thin side, so I gave him a few waxworms, being careful not to give it too much to become an addiction. |

You know, I never really knew people kept geckos as pets until recently. Where I live, they're considered pests and are mostly killed on sight. Potato's an awesome name, though. Can't beat Potato.

Killed on sight? I thought they were helpful and welcomed, because they ate pests? Of course, people here kill garter snakes and frogs, so I guess it's the same thing.. Stupid people... |

They're considered pests, as they usually have lots of tiny little baby geckos, which irritate the rest of my family, as they all despise creepy crawlies and most other animals. I'll admit, they can be annoying sometimes.

Mice are different. they get into your food and spread all kinds of diseases. Geckos are just killed 'cause they're "creepy", kinda like jumping spiders. |

Sadly yes. I feel sorry for house geckos, and I don't ever kill a jumping spider. I would keep them as a pet, and them release them later. Well I used to. Now I just let them roam the house |

You will be surprised if you know that House Gecko also raid the food as well! I have seen it once when a gecko risked itself to jump into rice pot and munching on our rice. Sometime they snatch baby gupppies that were kept in shallow water as well. However, I think it's too much to kill them. Compare to cockroaches or mice, they are more likely helper than pet. I even have my favorite gecko in my house. It's name is Old One.
