Now the Question is what will they do/evolve when the second ice age approach xD

And Hananas it's not a quiz. I'm asking about the possibility of what will happen to reptiles.

Stuck on Earth

Fur no, feathers are more plausible IMO.

Yeah, I meant that, but yeah I don't think a bird kind of feathers. Well, as they are related with Dinosaurs and Birds, mostly crocs. But still will they evolve a coat?

Thank you for the set, Azrael!

How far are we talking in the future? 20 million years? Nope. 50 million years? Nope. 100 million years? Possibly.

Evolving creatures from earth.

I knew was just teasing and joking around
But tail is possible as a good defencebut fur is not possible only after quite a few millions of years

Yes, a mouse could certainly become a 1,000 pound grazer... given 20 - 30 million years.

I looked into it, and it says only 10,000 years have passed since modern day. No noticeable changes would occur in any large animals in such a short time. It takes many millions of years for that, not just a few thousand. I imagine they must have another explanation for it or it's just silly.
Actually, noticeable changes are already happening in large animals today. Today, a tusk free gene is occurring more and more in baby elephants, resulting in a massive change, as the tusks of the elephants have been in the elephant linage for a very long time.

Only in the last 150 years, their tusks already shortened and 38% of the elephants at Luangwa are tusk less.

Humans are extremely capable of speeding up evolution around them. ;)

Will Smith did a nice jobs in previous futuristic movies like "I Robot" or "I am Legend" (i didn't like the last though).

Sorry but "I'm legend" was a terrible, terrible movie and it had nothing to do with the book in which is based on (which is far better). The movie was just another survival horror / mainstream zombie kind of movie. And what Iben posted is really interesting, i didn't know that at all.

It's even worse, Sheather. The trailer says "1,000 years," not "10,000" years. I don't know if it's ever explained in the movie (like we somehow genetically engineered or forced massive mutation on the native fauna before leaving), but this is a Scientology-backed movie so... any sense of logic or actual science is out of the question.

Really? I only saw the commercials on TV a while ago and thought *perhaps too optimistically* that they said 10,000.
