Not to say Ninjas aren't cool, but Samurai are just best.

I want to be a samurai when I grow up ._.

It'd be epic to be a samurai. Much cooler than working at a convenience store, that's for sure.

Definitely.

I want so much to own a Traditionally hand forged katana from a master smith in Japan. That would be the most epic (And Expensive) thing ever

That would be epic. :D I mean, I'd probably choose a new PC or a 3DS first, just because I need those, but if I was able to get something just for the awesomeness I'd totally get a [hand forged] katana.

It'll totally break the bank unless somebody generously gives one to you, or you happen to find one, or have one passed down from a relative. They can cost upwards of a couple thousand dollars. Way more if its an antique.

My aunt happens to have a japanese WW2 sword. I've only ever seen it a few times when I was little, and can't remember how it looked. I am trying to find it though. But the likelihood of it being hand forged is quite slim

You're pretty lucky to have any swords. I think I might have a plastic pirate's cutlass somewhere, but beyond that... pretty much devoid of swords. XP

You can get functional swords for anywhere from 40 to 500.

Usually the ones under a hundred, I wouldn't trust my life with. Plus you have to know what you're looking for. for example, Stainless steel for a sword over 2 feet long, is a no no.

I may regret this but whats wrong with it being stainless steel?

My nephew has 2 light sabers but they don't glow so they are like plastic swords.

Stainless steel starts getting brittle over about a foot or 2 in length, and might break during use. Also it doesn't hold an edge very well. However it is great choice for display replicas.
