@Crooky: It's not!![]() Next up, variants. ![]() Thanks to Nessich for showing me a better way to delete my Nifskope background. ![]() Though it still got ugly around the alphas, so note that they don't look exactly right in this render. OH WELL. |

It looks fantastic. Everything but one thing is perfect. ![]() The texture in this area looks repetitive. You probably used the clone stamp tool. Although it's a really easy fix.

I think I fixed that repetitive patch, Nessich. Thanks for pointing it out ![]() ![]() 4 variants (4 completely different heads, and 2 versions of the neck and belly textures). I may fuss with more color variations to add to the mix, but these are the foundation. Also, if you want a more detailed look, you can download a larger version from my dA page. ![]() Tomorrow... a baby skin may be started (if I can find enough good references). For now, I'm going to grab 2 more hours of sleep before work.

Wonderful work! Like the variants! Can't tell, how much I like it! I don't know anything about skinning, but can't you make variants by "just" switching each face colouration with each body colour?

Yes you can, but a very light face is probably going to look odd on a brightly colored body. What I'll more than likely do is take each of the variants and tweak their color levels slightly to make 1 or 2 more variants. I try to do more than just make them lighter/darker, more saturated/less saturated, so that the animals actually look different from one another (hence the texture variation for this project). At the same time, I'm not trying to spend endless hours making tiny differences for a species that doesn't have a TON of differentiation between individuals anyway, that most people won't notice in-game. This is just stuff I appreciate as someone who downloads tons of custom stuff for her own game, so I figure I should at least offer something similar from my projects.

Quick baby skin:![]() Also, don't expect any meshes out of me any time soon. I can't even get a reference image to load properly. e.e I seriously need a step-by-step instructional manual for the version I have (2.67), otherwise I get completely lost. Just wanted to try to make a fishie... :C |

Don't get 2.7, you have to use 2.49b for ZT2 purposes. The 2.5+ versions are pretty much useless for us at the moment, as we have no working scripts and it's not backwards-compatible. Once again ( second time in two days ), get these: http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/Blender#InstallationI guess I have to put this in my signature some time, so I can simply say "get the versions in my sig!" lol And see your blog thingy for the instruction

Thanks, DM. I'll keep working at it, but my brain seems to glaze over as soon as I launch blender. Meshing may just not be in the cards for me I appreciate the assistance, though.

Ohh I'm sure you can do it ![]() It's just a matter of getting used to the strange blender interface and its weird logic.
