thanks for release!
Just one detail: the young already have a lightbrown head.
(I know because almost a year ago the first tayra was born in the Netherlands,
at the zoo were I work)

Thank you so much for the release. I've done a tayra once myself (with the help of an inactive mesher/skinner), but your is awesome!!!! WOW!

Originally, I had the babies with a lighter head, but I've seen several pictures of young/baby Tayras that are all black/dark brown, added to this from Wikipedia:
Quote:

The female gives birth to 2 to 4 altricial, black-coated young... The fur on its head changes to brown or gray as it ages.

So for sake of ease, I decided to go with an all-dark coated baby, which will gain a lighter head/neck when it ages up. If it really bothers anyone, please feel free to replace the current baby skin with one of the adults'. You can also post a link to the edited file here, in the event anyone else wants it :)

I did a little work on the Golden-headed Quetzal, but I'm not 100% satisfied with the variants and will probably go back to the drawing board on them (I also want to give the females their own set of default and variant skins, as they are slightly dimorphic from the males). That said, I've tested them in-game and they work great, so expect to see that released in the next few days.

Thom also helped fix my Peruvian Pelican, so hopefully I can get the breeding skin finished, working, and then post a link to the project in the Nautical Voyage topic. I'd also like to finish the Red Wolf, Amur Leopard, and Black-capped Squirrel monkey now that I have a better grasp of skinning alphas properly.

I also really, really, really need to get those Honeyeater variants to Nessich. :\

Wee! Work week has started, so (once again), releases will slow down for a few days.

Updated the Golden-headed Quetzal. By which I mean I completely redid the skin because the first one was fugly.

Better?

Amazing! It's better than ever! Although the head looks bumpy.

It got realistic and good looking "eyebrows" :)
Wonderful work, it is better, although I quiet liked the old version as well. This one IS more realistic - You do a great job.

Yeah, the way the feathers lay they do look like bumps. But it's just their shape. :)

The body looks amazing MiBound! I agree that the head looks kind of weird.

Nice remake MIBound. Although the body looks good, the head looks a little strange as some said. Maybe less distinct coloration and feathers. And the body feathers around the neck look a little distorted. ;) Otherwise, great work. :)

This is the ref I used for the head:

So... that's how the head looks. If it looks "weird" in some places, this is probably why:

Not much I can do about that.

This is going to be the main skin... I apologize if you don't like how it looks, or if the feathers are too distinct/distorted, but it's the best I've got.

It looks correct to me personally. They're just super weird birds with weird markings.

Ok. Just wasn't sure because I saw some pictures where they looked different and the realized that they weren't golden headed quetzals! xD Amazing work, I can't wait to use it :D
