The seal is fantastic, I am definitely going to use it one day. Regarding your coding problems, I can't really help myself, but I think you could check out this tutorial. |

I have that in a Word document on my desktop I have to figure out how to not make the babies variant-ed, but to have them grow up with varient-ed skins (because the actual baby seals are uniformly dark dark dark grey and then lighten to various degrees as they get older).I'll poke at it between other projects. I'd like them to do that for my own use, so working it out for others to use is a nice bonus

I don't get it ? Do you want to make the seal grow up and change its colour during that ß that would be rather easy if you add additional life stages. |

Just when it goes from young to adult to change to a random adult skin. As it is now, it'll only grow into the default skin. |

Then I don't know. In fact it should do if you coded it to grow up into the regular adult ( Seal_Adult_M/F ) |

Well i'm glad to hear the news that everything is working fine (except the baby variants). So congratulations MiBound! I would love to use your seal in my zoos in the future

Well, we'll see what happens tonight when I patiently wait for the cute little buggers to breed, then have a baby, then wait for baby to grow up. It was (is) my understanding that having an adult coded for variants does not mean the baby grows up into any of those variants, and that it would always grow up into the default (main) skin. I thought that was why Ghost, et al, worked on the baby variants project in the first place... to get the babies into variant skins that they would keep when they grew up (allowing for a continuously diverse looking zoo population, rather than one that becomes identical as adopted animals die and are replaced by their offspring). Anyway... I'll see what I can do. For now, I'm content to release it with no baby variant coding at all and if I can figure out how to do what I want to do... There'll be an updated version

You could speed up the breeding and puberty times with coding so that you can test it better. Now I really don't understand anything any more: do you have baby variants that should grow up into specific adult skins ? Or do you have one generic young skin that should grow up into any of the adult one ? |

I have one generic young skin that I would *like* to grow up into any of the adult ones.
