The problem is that the collision is not where the xml expects it to be, in the main xml there is a collision binder that gives the name of the node which has the collision attached to it. So when you combine one coding with another model, there's a chance these don't match. Say you have <BFCollisionComponent grid="Bip01 Spine1" /> in the XML, but the collision is child of Bip01 Spine, it doesn't work. Easiest fix is to rename the node name in the xml to fit the name in the nif, so turn it into <BFCollisionComponent grid="Bip01 Spine" /> and it will work. ![]() The pelican looks superb, by the way

Well good news: Thanks to the work of BenZooMaster and Jannick, we now have Bongos in-game that are selectable and can eat and drink (yay!). There are a few more issues to address.. The skin variants have stopped working and the separate horn.dds is no longer showing up in-game (for some reason the horns now have the body .dds on them despite having the horn.dds assigned). It can never be easy, can it?! ![]() Again, huge thanks to Jannick and BenZooMaster for taking the time to poke at this project and figure out what went wrong. Update: Jannick has advised of a possible fix for the skin variants. I'm still trying to figure out what the problem is with the horns. I'll be home from work in about 10 hours, so if I'm awake enough, I'll try to sort out the remaining problems.

Nope I primarily work by myself, with a few collaborations here-and-there when other designers are looking for help (or I am).

that pelican looks amazing MiBound, if you can finish it with only a few variants it would be cool to add a mating skin for them... |

I'd need significant help coding something like that, as I've never attempted anything as complex (for me anyway, I'm sure it's easy for other people). But it's a good idea. I guess the breeding skin (for the males?) would be brighter/more vibrant on the bill, have more yellow on the head, and be darker along the brown parts of the neck. I'd honestly have to do some more research on the species to see if they have special breeding colors (based on photographs, I'd say they do). |
