yep, strange xD

Though it's logical, here Hippos are called directly 'Kuda Nil' (Nile Horse), and seals are 'Anjing Laut' (Sea Dog) xD

Indonesia was a colony of the Netherlands, wasn't it? Maybe that explains why the literal meanings of the words are the same a lot of times.

Wait Gueinea fowl is Pearl Chicken? Lol I didn't even know there's an Indo word of it xD .

Oh and for anteater, sometimes they say 'Landak Semut' ;) . I always avoid saying it because it means 'Ant Porcupine' xD

@Stephen: Long ago, they came here, along with Japan, that's why fried shrimp is also called Ebi xD

Edit: and Portuguese :P . Explains why ball is 'Bola' here

Anteater: Tamanduá

Macaw: Arara

Ostrich: Avestruz
These are the tree I find interesting. We call a Tree anteater tamandua (just as in English, isn't it?)
Macaws are called Ara's in Dutch. Ostrich is Struisvogel, and vogel means bird (in Portuguese Ave/aves means bird, right?) so that means that it's like Struis/Struz bird xD

About the Anteaters it's basically like this:

Anteater: Tamanduá Bandeira
Tamandua: Tamanduá-Mirim/Tamanduá de Colete
Silky Anteater: Tamanduaí

And Avestruz/Ostrich is probably the same as in your language, but "struz" has no meaning at all in portuguese... Odd xD
