I was inspired by the Time Travel Contest to start my own series of Ingame pictures. I will update irregularly depending on inspiration and the time I have. I will usually make pictures for all my new animals and recently released extinct animals I like. Please don´t expect many recent animals in here, I don´t think there will be any. Ice King Today I was hiking through the Liaoning Province ... 124 million years before mankind. It is surprising, but unlike commonly thought it gets very cold here during winter. We currently have temperatures of - 10 °C and snow is constantly falling. The few parts that aren't covered with snow yet will soon be so. During the winter most dinosaurs migrate to the warmer South or have fallen as sleep. Food is scarce here and so the big sauropods that live here during summer have left the region. Surprisingly not all theropods followed them. The biggest predator in the region, the Tyrannosaur Yutyrannus huali is still quite numerous here. Today I found one calling for a mate on an open plain. ![]() In fact the winter is the mating season of Yutyrannus huali. The young Yutyrannus huali will hatch when the sauropods and other migrants come back. During winter the remaining Yutyrannus huali feed on the sleeping dinosaurs that weren't able to hide good enough. The food is hard too find, but there is not much energy needed, so that most Yutyrannus huali can easily survive the winter. During summer they will start to scavenge and hunt sauropods again. |

Thank you. The mountains are from a Himalaya panorama I found on the internet. I put them on a sign and scaled it up with the factor 100. |
