The nano is amazing titan but i have to agree with AF it kinda looks like its flat and well... duged into the skin instead of it appearing outward but very nice. : )

Overall it looks quite plausible as a whole, but I'm not sure about the texture, it looks a bit random and accidental, I can't tell whether it's bald or scaly in fact :P Plus I think it'd use a nostril or two ;)

I love the Nano, but I do think it needs nostril.

Very nice Nanotyrannus, though more feathers would be cool. Besides, I think this pic would be excellent for the eye ;)

Scales have been found with both T. Rex & Nanotyrannus.

Awesome Nano BTW.

Yes, there were scales found on the bottom of the tail of Tyrannosaurus rex. Ostriches have bald legs. That doesn't mean ostriches aren't feathered, does it ? :P

You are right, it is highly possible, as other tyrannosaurs have been found with feathers. It is almost certain that the tyrant king had feathers somewhere during at least some part of its life. However, as no direct evidence has been found to suggest tyrannosaurus had feathers (as of yet), we may assume for the moment that he was a something of a ground hawk. :p

From Wikipedia, the Free Encyclopedia
Quote:

A recently discovered, nearly complete fossil of a tyrannosaurid was found in Montana along with an enormous, currently unnamed chasmosaurine. It has been suggested by Pete Larson to be another specimen of Nanotyrannus. Teeth embedded in the ceratopsian's muscle tissue implies predatory behavior, there appears to be extensive scaly skin impressions similar to those seen on Tyrannosaurus, and it is notably larger than previously discovered specimens, comparable in size to Albertosaurus.

Now the original nanotyrannus had fused bones, indicating it was an adult. (Although Jane was not fully grown, this makes sense female tyrannosaurs were larger, & the original specimen could have been male.)

It was originally though that nanotyrannus was a juvenile T. rex, although this has since been effectively disproved, it is debated whether it should be Nanotyrannus lancensis (hence getting it's own genus), or Tyrannosaurus lancensis.

Titan already put a few feathers on it, so I'm happy. (The eye is a bit dead looking though.)

the larger female rex theory is old and actually doesn't make much sense, the animals could have been bulkier for several other reasons and we aren't even able to tell males apart from females.

But wasn't tyrannosaurus one of the few dinosaurs that it was possible to tell which ones were females and which ones werent?

By the way guys, i think this is going far off topic here. This is a project thread, that also hasn't been active for a while. Maybe we should discuss this in some other topic in the Nature & pets section?

It may just be because the image is at a funny perspective, but I think the head could use a bit more work (for the Nano). I don't HATE it, I mean I would like to have a nano in my game.... just not a derpy one
