An American Tale I'm making a new topic for this because this is a specific continuing story but is photography, this is not a zoo but an enclosed area of wilderness in modern day America. The story will be following a female Cougar, her trials and triumphs and a pair of wolves who are trying to start a new pack here in Broadcreek Woods. We've named the female cougar My'Kyla and the wolves are Roark (male) and Willow (female). We hope to capture births, deaths and everyday life. ![]() I hope you'll enjoy this journey. The idea came to me thanks to Murdock129. (: Our story is already gaining a new twist, My'Kyla has been seen with a male cougar recently and the two appear to be staying close to one another. Meaning they are more than likely mating and we might be able to expect our first offspring of a predator here in the area. ![]() Stay tuned as more unfolds! |

This really looks awesome, I'm glad you used and expanded on the idea. The two cougars meeting is awesome, can't wait to see some little adorable cougar cubs with My'Kyla becoming a mother X3 Can't wait to see how things go with Roark and Willow too

Seems interesting Azrael. Usually I'm only interested in stories with extinct animals but this... This sounds very intriguing.

Today embarks a day where both animals found their stomachs rumbling, even though My'Kyla and Mikiel (the name we've given the male cougar she's with) are sticking close for mating, they still hunt seperately and our female is hungry. She's traveled away from the rocky outcropping that is the center of her territory and where she's likely hidden her den to find food. She doesn't get very fair, just over the river before she hears rustling in the bushes.![]() She lifts her head briefly and swivels her ears foreward to try and pinpoint the sound in the bushes, it's likely a rabbit or another small animal that thinks it's hidden in the long grass. ![]() She prepares to leap into the bushes, however this attempt was in vain. Because she neither caught nor found a meal in the bushes. On the other side and the cause of the rustling was her temporary partner Mikeli, who was heading towards the water to drink and was then using the bush as shade. ![]() He takes on a bit of a defensive stance, which is understandable. Kyla is a great huntress and if she were truely angry, he could take quite the beating. But strength and size are on his side fortunately. But he know has a slightly peeved lady on his hands, considering that she has to find a new trace of a meal. ![]() --------------------- Stay tuned for a check-in on our wolves next time! Thanks for the comments everyone. This is not the finalized "forest" I'm working on it bits at a time please, so work with me. It'll be denser over time. |

X3 Mikiel's a troll already I really love how the pictures and story work together, both complimenting one another flawlessly, and the pictures themselves look gorgeous, while the story really does feel like something from a documentary ![]() I now have David Attenborough and Morgan Freeman talking in my head when I read it XD |

Thanks guys, I'm having issues with serious lag now though, usually I don't have issues. I think it's Jimmy's grass, using alot of it has always caused issues for me. But I like the way it looks, not quite sure what to do but I might get rid of it and remake the map as a whole. Would people be bothered by that? I have one maybe two updates prepared while I make a new map though. |

Yeah that grass is extremely laggy, but it looks so good. I know exactly what you mean. An no, of course i won't be bothered about you remaking the map. What ever make it easy for you. It can be really frustating having to deal with all the lag. |
