Today is a new day in Broadcreek and we catch up to the wolves this time, we find Roark visiting the nearby pond for a morning drink and to check out his territory, Roark and Willow are the only wolves in the vicinity for the time being, so they don't have to worry about competition with another pack as of yet and can relax. They're only major concerns being finding a meal and bonding enough to eventually rear pups.![]() Even without another pack, Roark spends part of his day rubbing foliage and scent marking rocks, trees, bushes to tell other predators to stay away. ![]() His alpha female and partner on the other hand, has other concerns. Most of them involving her ravenous appetite. She is an adept hunter and she finds a meal in an unfortunate wild turkey that are found around these parts. Like most forests, it borders ranches and farmland where people have settled down. The fowl occasionally escape and create wild populations. ![]() While skittish, they don't fully understand the dangers of predators quite yet and Willow easily catches up to the female bird, a bite to the leg and a few feathers pulled out with a second quick bite leave the bird defenseless and unable to escape and the animal's journey as come to an end. ![]() Willow quickly begins to feed before standing guard over the carcass and beginning to call out for her mate to join her. ![]() She keeps her head low, they are both alphas but Roark is ultimately the one in charge and she knows it and respects her partner. It's her kill, but it's his place to feed now. ![]() --------------- Thank you for your comments and stay tuned for (hopefully) more updates! I've been having issues with the game lately but I hope you've enjoyed. |

Wow that turky had some big ribs ![]() Anyway i love the enviorenment Azrael! I love how spacious it looks with all those trees in the back. } Is there a background story about why this two wolfs are by their own and are not part of a pack. They being only two and both alfa caught my attention and made me think that maybe is there some past story that you are going to reveal in the future. |

Yeah, the backgrounds give a large feel to this and makes the entire thing have a sense of scale It's good to hear things are going well with Roark and Willow And just looking at those pictures, looking at the long extending backgrounds of the forest, it looks absolutely beautifully done |

(I'm sorry, been having ZT2 issues lately, I only have two pictures and I dunno if I can continue this, I will try and I'm trying to recreate a new map to work on as this one seems to crash and lag out) It can barely be seen, but today we only catch a brief glimpse of Mikiel trying to hunt, boar don't have the best eyesight, and mostly rely upon smell to detect danger and one another, it is because of this (and luck with the wind) that the male cougar could get so close. However, whether he succeeded in the kill or not remains to be seen. ![]() The other photo we were able to obtain was a young female doe, a first-time mother choosing probably the worst place possible to try and give birth to her first fawn, this is the cougar's current den. ![]() Only time will tell if she suffers for this decision. |

Look at the rock and gradually scan the grass to the left of it, there is a spot of brown, that's Mikiel. (: |
