 Those feathers are really annoying cuz you can't approximate anything. Every feather has to be in the right place to make it look plausible...

Sourced from vulture, eagle & chicken.

If you look at the arms, you notice the membrane between upper and lower arm as in modern birds. Also, the wings fold perfectly accurate:

I might make them static in that pose or create a secondary anim for it....

 I like the feather texture, it's not too exaggerated, but not too small either. I approve. I also have some suggestions for the coloring:
