There'll be no foot-walking! Just air-flying!

Here you go, this blog mentions a specimen with a nearly complete tail. It's irritating that the pdf of the study doesn't seem to work, but I guess I can get a hold of it by contacting the Science department of the University of Ghent.

While everyone is getting all technical about the tail length (which is fine to me; this is WWD, not life xD) I'd just like to say that this is an amazing project. I remember seeing your first WWD pack and I'm so glad you decided to pick it up again The breakthroughs you made with the Pteranodon speak for themselves, of course ![]() However, if I may offer some criticism, I think the skin is a little... 'bland'. An increase in contrast might be a good idea, since the pupil is grayish right now A little more contrast on the polar allosaur wouldn't hurt either, but that one's excellent either way

Yeah I've seen that blog but the paper is nowhere to be found. It doesn't really matter much to me anyway, I can't make the tail longer without making it stretch the texture, and the long totally would totally ruin the WWD look. For those who want a realistic Lea, you can always use the JFD one.

I think im in love with the Leaelly outstanding job!! Hope the babies are as cute as they were in the show. But I also think the Leaelly's tail is a little to thick and should be a lil bigger like the pics below Spoiler: click to toggle

Some modeling fun here: Muttaburrasaurus ![]() I'll TRY to make a bipedal run for it. Can't guarantee if I'll find time though, as it's not really that important... I've given the lea a more contrast, jannick you were right, it's better. I think I got the allo just right in terms of contrast though, looks just like in the movie IMO.

Technically we don't know what a dinosaur looked like... so realistic isn't the best way to describe a dinosaur model. All we know is a skeleton. Maybe it didn't have fluff. Maybe it did. Maybe it had lots of fat, or maybe it was skinny. Maybe it had all sorts of fleshy bits, or maybe it was scaly. Maybe it was purple and turquoise, maybe it was brown and gray. We don't know, so "realistic" just... doesn't work. Anywho, great WWD animals! The Pteranodon is especially amazing with all the new animations. Those animations open up all sorts of doors! And of course, all the other animals look awesome! |

That model looks awesome. BTW, I know it's normal, but the face on the last model is really creepy Makes me think of a giant insect.

Sure we do, we can determine a lot about what dinosaurs looked like from fossilized remains (we don't just have bones you know: we also have feather/scale impressions, melanosome fragments to give us a rough idea of the colour, and even entire dino mummies). But I agree that this is a WWD pack, and is intended to reflect what dinosaurs looked like in the documentary, not what they looked like in real life. Edited by CyborgIguana, Sep 4 2013, 04:30 PM.

Ah, yes...the Muttaburrasaurus. The model is spot on. (Just one thing...wasn't it said somewhere that Hadrosaurs couldn't pronate their wrists?) ^^ The Leallynasaura is also awesome. ^^ |

I am honored to see what ZT2 has come to Everything was once cartoon and we could have never made half of what we have today. I am happy to see how well it advanced. Well done Dinosaurman I tip my hat to you and many of the other great ZT2 pioneers.
