As they all have the WWD coding appendix, so they're separate. I also have the WWD book itself, just not sea monsters, but thanks anyway. That saves me the endless loading times of my scanner ![]() Got the hybodus mesh done too, but I'm going to the zoo now.

I can't be completely certain, given that this is DM's project, but based on the naming conventions that this project follows, it's reasonable to assume that there will be no conflicts. I don't believe anybody else tags "WWD" on the end of their codenames. ![]() EDIT: Nevermind, beat me to it.

I realise this is a bit off topic, but I've never really understood this. Why would people quit something they seemingly enjoy because people do not react to it in the way they want? Yeah, speculation can be annoying but surely the love of the designing should overrule that. They can't like it that much that they quit because of this... Anyway, just something I picked up on. It's cool you're starting on the sea WWD one, was always a favourite of mine.

I like the Ophthalmosaurus DM, but out of curiosity why did you make the tail that thick? IIRC the one in the show had a tapering tail, more similar to that of a shark (the one you made is more comparable to a horizontal dolphin )

Agreed, you should design because it makes you happy. And while comments like those are frustrating and annoying, I don't think they should overwhelm the happiness you get from designing if your in it for the right reasons. I'm glad you got the scans Hendrix! I have actually been downloading these as WWD is one of the few prehistoric things I have watched and oh gosh, they look like they've come right out the show! |

There'll be no foot-walking! Just air-flying!

Let me rephrase my poorly phrases words I meant quitting as in either leaving a certain forum, stop releasing, etc. I didn't mean quitting as in "stopping with designing". Besides, don't see this as a single reason why people would quit There are more, but even in the past big design teams like M3 quit due these kind of things ( and many other reasons ). ![]() But let's go back on topic

That's true, but the one in WWD had a tapering tail

Agreed LC. One of my favorites next to time of the titans. I can't wait to see the liopleurodon that's one of my favorite too.

I reconstructed it like that as there has to be some kind of anchor point for the musculature, and you see it is present on all fast or powerful swimmers, whales, marlins, dolphins, sharks. So it's plausible to be like that on ichthyos too.

How's the muttaburrasaurus coming along? This is pestering a designer. Pestering is strictly forbidden by the rules.
Sorry. You'll get done with it when you get done with it. Your opthalmosaurus looks great, by the way! Even if it is working in progress. Edited by Captain Phasma, Sep 22 2013, 03:25 PM.

Fair enough, I knew it was plausible, I was just wondering because for the Spirits of the Ice Forest pack you made it true to WWD and not to the actual animals, so I was wondering if you were doing the same here ![]() Nice to see you going back to accurate animals though

I'm doing it more or less as it comes to my mind when I'm modeling it, I'm not fixed to 100% WWD or 100% accurate, it's somewhere between, but alternating. ![]() And here is every baby ophthalmosaurus' nightmare! ![]()
