There will be variants with a cream underbelly. Monitors are really varied animals when it comes to patterns.

Variation within species has its margins as well, there are things that are uniform and overlooking them can't really be excused with this one again. The pattern and colour combination seems more like it was sourced from a side of the animal, with the top-of-the-body colours and pattern instead of the usual dark and light bands Below are some more pics for the variant references, though the aforementioned variation doesn't quite show dark top-body like bellies to be common, rather to be absent on most specimens, while the top pattern itself is very varied indeed and hard to cover in 3 variants - the bellies stay on the lighter side ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
