Hello! Well, I think about everyone ever in the universe had one of these except me, so I thought I might as well make one. I will attempt not to turn this into a sea of angry rants, but no promises. Also if you want to ask me any questions, you can do that here. Firstly, a bit about me, as I don't think many people know me. I'm fourteen years old and live in Ohio (U.S.) I first got interested in ZT2 when my sister got it as a birthday present when she was about seven. I ended up playing it more than her. I first discovered downloads at Zoo Tycoon Unleashed, where I had an account but literally never did anything. I found NS second, where I was mostly just a lurker. I also discovered Zeta-Designs at this time and that's what really got me into zoo building. From there, I found Gaia, and I was actually a bit more active there for a few months. My interest in ZT2 faded, and with it went my interest in Gaia, and I didn't do anything in the community for a long time. Then, one day I got really bored and started playing ZT2 again. I got back on Gaia and was only there for about a week or so before I discovered The Round Table. I am much more active here than I ever was at Gaia, and I really love this site! Anyway, ask questions and stuff, I'd love to get to know some of you! |

I do too, Amherst pheasants are so pretty. I also love duikers. They're the best antelope. |

Community Friends: I know some people have tons, and some people have none. I certainly thought I'd never make friends, but I've talked to a few people and gotten to know them and I'm so happy that I did that. When it came down to it, the reason I thought I wasn't going to have friends in the community was that I was waiting for people to come to me. But finally I decided I should just go for it and I sent a PM to Danny. We started chatting and I enjoy talking to him. Soon after I got to know him I sent a PM to Zozmonster saying hello. She responded, and we soon got to know each other much better. I've talked to her the most, with 488 replies, and I'm so glad I did. After I met her I sent a PM to Sheather. We had seen a bit of each other in the Atheist Hangout but we never really talked much. One day I decided to send him a PM, and he responded and we chatted a little bit. Unfortunately I then fell asleep on my desk and when I woke up I sent him this message:
Clearly I was still half asleep. Anyway, Imp sent me a PM after that saying hi. This really shocked me, because I never thought anyonee would approach me instead of me sending a message to them, so I was really happy about it. The thing is, once I started to be more outgoing, I felt much more a part of the community. I made more friends and became more comfortable talking with other people. So that is what I challenge you to do. Send a PM to someone this week. If they respond, great. If they don't, who cares? You can always try again another time.

Because we're all mostly teenagers entering school, with grudges or friendships/trust broken between people. But mostly people's lives just getting busy, I think. With the occasional "WTF are you talking about, that's random" reason for leaving. |

That is true, I guess. So today I started a new zoo. I kinda wanted to do something different, because, to be honest, I'm getting tired of every zoo having the same foliage. So I mad a sort of scrub zoo. And guess what? Not a single karaka or Guioa!

Lol that is good. I know what you mean about getting tired of foliage being always the same. Karaka is great when you want to build a tropical zoo, but gaving every new zoo a different location or theme is a good way to change the foliage every time your begin a new one. I only use the karaka for IguaZOO because is a tropical zoo. But i have an asian zoo and i don't have a single karaka on it and the foliage combination is completly different from IguaZOO. The same when i did a desert theme zoo or my australian zoo. I'm always experimenting with foliage. That is why i like to make the animals exhibits to resemble their natural habitat as accurate as possible, and also is why i love to do my ingame photography. Oh and i never, ever used a guoia. I must be the only guy in the comunnity that actually don't like that tree and don't think it looks good lol I'll prefer a darker version of both the karaka and the guoia though. |

The karaka/guioa/other tropical tree combo looks very nice when It's done really well, I just see it being a bit repetitive lately. Wit a row of Karakas then a row of Guioas all lined up. |
