Let's face it, we're all rather inspired by Oxybelis to do a little herping, and sometimes, herps may cross our path by accident as well.

Today, I happened to run into a baby Terrestrial Garter Snake. Very young, maybe a week at the most. I would've gotten pictures and caught him, but gosh he was fast.

Erm... I found a very small toad yesterday. I think it was an Eastern American Toad.

Does that count? I wasn't really looking for it I just almost stepped on it.

Hahaha, it's the same story with the baby Garter Snake. So it should be fine.

I have my favorite reptile. A large House Gecko name Old One who live behind my bookshelf. Just at the morning, a younger gecko appeared and challenged him/her, however was defeated and chased away from there. Old One never lose to someone. I wonder how long will he/she lives there because I like him/her very much!

And I found an Oriental garden lizard at my school today as well.

I'm sure a while. We had a massive male House Gecko living with us in Hawai'i.

i spotted a water turtle in the channel while i was fishing today. not sure if it was the native pond turtle or a slider thrown by some idiot, but the second seems more likely. weird fact is that the channel doesn't have shores or banks, just vertical concrete walls, so i don't know how the turtle could survive there.

Today I found a cute Asian Painted Frog or Chubby Frog in my pot plant gardens. Also, a lot of House Geckoes as usual.

Well, not really a herping but I went to a reptile shop at JJ market this afternoon for window-shoping! xD I came across a tiny high-white Californian Kingsnake. I opened the rack to see it closer. The little one looked up at me, its eyes watched deep into mine. The snake then slithered toward me. I picked it up and it curled around my finger. So cute!!!! At the time, I nearly exploded by happiness. I said to the snake "Someday, I will certainly get your kind...... Someday...."
