Baby Robins

Just walked my dogs after getting home from work and found 2 baby Robins on the ground. We had a really bad storm here last night that broke a lot of tree limbs, etc., and I'm worried they might have been knocked out of their nests. There are plenty of feral cats in the area (semi-rural) not to mention owls and hawks...

Do I leave them there or do something stupid like scoop them up in a shoebox and try to fledge them myself??? (I have a lot of experience bird-keeping, just not in the last few years). Help!!

Leave them where they are. Even though it's sad what happened (and it's even sadder considering what will happen, cats and such), but nature is harsh.

Yeaaaah, that's what I'm reading online too. Just really sad, one of them is pretty small. :C

I had a situation like this. create a fake nest maybe with an icecream bucket, line it with comfortable leaves and things then put tie the bucket in a tree wit the baby birds inside and the parents will probably find it again. i did this once and it worked.

Indeed. While it's a bit late for this case, if you ever stumble upon a similar situation again this is always worth trying and usually successful. I could never leave baby birds on the ground to die without giving them a chance....

Stupid human maternal instincts.
