Here I'll be doing reviews on different movies, tv shows, video games, etc.

I'll first be reviewing the game Wildlife Park 3.

Wildlife Park 3 is a nice game. The first two games were pretty good, especially the graphics of the second one, but this one has even more realistic graphics. The graphics are amazing, but a little bit cartoony I have to admit. What really annoys me about this game was the choice of animals. The game said that it would have African animals, marine animals and prehistoric animals. This makes you think that there are no expansions required and it has a broad selection of different animals to adopt. The only African animals were really basic, such as elephants, gazelles, giraffes, zebras, and lions. The selection of prehistoric animals was incredibly small. Just the woolly mammoth, elasmotherium, and smilodon. No dinosaurs at all. Then the worst selection was marine animals. There are literally no true marine animals, only the King penguin, the polar bear, and the sea lion, which are all semi-aquatic.

The interface is pretty easy and I like the idea of animals appearing for sale in the market at random times. Sometimes this is unfair though because it could take a long time for the animal you want to show up at the market. One thing I didn't like was that there isn't much interaction with the animals. Also, I didn't like the fact that you couldn't create the prehistoric animals unlike the first two games. You just buy them at the market as adults or juveniles.

The missions are very enjoyable but there is one thing about the maps that really annoy me. When you select a map and start, you build your park and then exit when you're done. Now you want to build a different park but on the same map. You go to the map selector and see that you now have the option to reset that map. You can't use the same map again without deleting the zoo that was first built there.

I like that they organized the animals by climate. There is Polar, Temperate, Subtropical, and Tropical. It was a bit strange that they decided to put Elasmotherium in subtropical, it would make more sense to go in temperate like the mammoth. What I love about this game is that it is so easy to modify and create new usermade animals. The reason why you can do this is the variation of animals in this game. There are different colored animals like the black mammoth and the white lion and they are somewhat considered as 'subspecies' of their normal counterparts. You can simply create your own 'subspecies' with a new name and the ini files for the animals can be easily manipulated using notepad.

Overall, it's a great game and I rate it 4/5 stars. :D

This concludes the review for Wildlife Park 3, see you next time with a new review!

NEW REVIEW, as I haven't done them in ages :D

Zoo Tycoon 2 DS
This version of Zoo Tycoon 2 is strangely made for the Nintendo DS. The first one is similar but not very as good if you ask me. Many would think it only has the normal animals of ZT2, but surprisingly it has 36 animals including the dozens of unlockables.
In Freeform, you can start out creating a zoo with the selected biome. There is the City Zoo, Savannah, Desert, Alpine, Tropical Rainforest, Temperate Forest, Scrub, Wetlands, and Endangered Species but surprisingly no Tundra or Boreal Forest. You can change the amount of your starting cash, change your zoo rating and whether you want all Research to be done.
The interface is quite simple. There is management, which lets you close the park, run research and learn about your income, construction where you can create exhibits with fences, and buy paths, foliage and rocks. Then there are animals, where you can adopt animals, buy enrichment and change the biome of an exhibit. After is buildings where you can purchase scenery and buildings, and staff where you can hire staff members.
There is also campaign mode, where you can play scenarios in order to unlock new animals for freeform. There are 15 to complete.
In freeform, after touching an animal with your stylus you can view your animal's status. The status has a happiness bar, hunger bar, hygiene bar and more. There will be a small icon of the animal that you can tap on, bringing you to a 3d version of the animal that you can feed, brush, clean, and play with to increase the happiness of your animal.
You would probably think it wouldn't have any marine or prehistoric animals, but that's not true. There is the dolphin and the sea otter, which adds a nice Marine Mania feel. For prehistoric animals, there is the triceratops and the saber-toothed cat, which are labeled as 'Amazing Animals'. Amazing Animals are a rating for four creatures, the Yeti, the Unicorn, the Triceratops, and the Saber-toothed Cat. There is also an option to fund a dolphin show research program which lets you hold a 3d dolphin show if you purchase a grandstand next to your dolphin tank.

Overall, this game is really fun. The scenarios are pretty fun, too. The animal selection is nice too, as they added fantasy creatures, prehistoric animals, and marine animals. I'll rate it 5/5 Unlockable Animals :D

Thanks for reading!

Also, the Jurassic Park review is definitely going to end up being two parts long, one comparing the book to the other. I think one might focus on the summary of both things, the second will be comparing both. Also expect some top 10 reviews.

I always did like the ZT DS games, especially the 1st one. Now that I have a DS again, I should go and buy it again.

I also like how the DS version has a few of the animals from all the expansions so you could still somewhat have animals from EA, ES, AA, and MM without actually needing expansions.
