Ok, so I'm still trying to get the coding for the fallow deer to work to let me use all 4 variants I made because now *I* want it to have variations lol. Also, since someone PM'd me about it, I'll be do the Artiodactyla version of the Young adoption next. |

Well, it's not the fallow deer but I started these this morning. I think I may have made one variant too dark, it's literally black. ![]() But I wanted more variants with my asian elephants. Spoiler: click to toggle I also did a brown zebra but I don't know if people would like it enough to release; ![]() Spoiler: click to toggle Give me feedback on these while I try and figure out why the fallow deer isn't working. |

Is it possible for you to lessen the intensity of the black variant of the deer? at the very moment it's so dark that it's near impossible to discern any skin features outside of the presence of the eye. I've never heard of occurences of some of the colour variants you make for the animals, but, in the end, it probably doesn't matter since you've said you don't aim for the realism here. The dark elephant seems to have the same problem - weakly applying texture makes it lose the detail. To create skin variants it's sometimes better to avoid simply changing the hue/darkness of the skin file, and better to overlay the texture and try using colours.

Yeah I know, I'll try and brighten the total black one, and I'm probably gonna scrap the darkest elephant variants and two of the others and just keep the three that I think came out the best. I'm still learning, and for the Koala I did do color overlay, which is why some only have brown "patches" instead of fully brown, but I'm still learning how to play with everything, thanks. (: |

How is this with brightening the dark variant?![]() If this looks better I'll keep this one and remove the previous "all black" and the "black and white" one. |

It definitely looks better, but I'm still not really fond of it. Nor am I of the other black one, the one who still has white dots. I reather like to see some more variants in the brown color instead. But in the end it is up to you to decide.

Gonna close this for the time being, don't worry. I'll post download links for the variants and Artio Young Hack when they're done. |

Correct me please, if I'm wrong but since bush versions and reskins of the Guioa and Karaka have been released before, I think they're PD and I believe Wild China is also PD? If they are not, please just notify me and I'll take the images down or make a PU projects thread for myself. Textures belong to the ZTABC Team and WWDU, all I've done here is applied the Chinese Hemlock's bark texture to the Guioa, as the dark red bark didn't suit me all that well and wanted to know what people think, I was also going to experiment with maybe changing the leaves to something lighter and dark respectfully for a bit of variation (same with the Karaka). Because they're lovely pieces. ![]() ![]() I'd love input from the two teams to see if I may be able to release a re-coded tree using this skin and others, though I think as mentioned their both PD. |

Nice idea, changing the bark texture of the guoia. Do you think you can do a darker color version of the leaves too? |

Are you doing the lighter and darker versions as separate trees? |
