Oooh, I love those, but there are two that appeal to me more as "weird":

Spoiler: click to toggle

The Yellow Flecked Glass Frog and the Ghost Glass Frog, I mean look at those eyes!!

This frog is not weird, but it has a sad story. The Rabb's Fringe-limbed Tree Frog, is a gliding frog.

Just... one? Wow that is sad. Those mycosis are exterminating all the tropical amphibians :/ Worst thing is that this species was discovered in 2005... 8 years later only one individual remains :/

Thank you for the set, Azrael!

If a koala could be acclimated to an artificial pellet diet how different would it become?

*looks around as suddenly sober koalas start running around in circles - they're by nature actually extremely active animals -and solving complex problems as their innate intelligence finally is able to show, no longer masked by their toxic diet*

*koalas become increasingly crafty and then self aware and begin to plot to rise against the human menace*

*begins offering Eucalyptus again*

*world destruction aborted*

And that is why the koala eats Eucalyptus leaves.

This is NOT a reptile! This is the larva of the Hemeroplanes triptolemus moth. In its larval form it is capable of expanding its anterior body segments to give it the appearance of a snake, complete with simulated eyes. It's mimicry extends even to the point where it will harmlessly strike at potential predators.

This savage beast belongs in the the Eupethecia genus, which is yes, a carnivorous caterpillar. This genus lives exclusively in Hawaii. This alien-like animal camouflages like a branch and waits until something like a fly lands, Then it savagely captures it with it's creepy scythe-like claws.

It reminds me of those things from Starcraft 2 that the Zerg use for sentry. Spine Crawlers or something. Anywho, I'm both astounded and scarred for life after looking at the animals. How can you look at these things and say they evolved?
