I wasn't trying to have it come out that way! I just want to know how such unique, and incredible creatures evolved!

It reminds me of those things from Starcraft 2 that the Zerg use for sentry. Spine Crawlers or something. Anywho, I'm both astounded and scarred for life after looking at the animals. How can you look at these things and say they evolved?
You sure are a persistent one.

I will use the caterpillar to explain this.
Imagine a population of caterpillars. Some random individuals are able to eat other insects, but, as there is a lot of foliage, they don't have any advantage. However, one day, there is some problem and the foliage disappears. The caterpillars eating other insects survive, as they still have food, while the plant-eating caterpillars die out. This was step one. Then, one of the individuals is born with these claw-like things, while the others have the normal caterpillar feet. The one with the claw-like feet is able to catch insects quicker than the other caterpillars, which means it gets more food. As such, it grows quicker and will morph into a butterfly at a younger age. This means it'll have more opportunities to breed and reproduce. Its descendants will also have those claw-things, and ditto for them. When some problem will appear, which will cause the prey to partly disappear, the caterpillars with the claw-like things will survive, as they will catch food easier, while the others will die out. And this happens multiple times, until you get what you see here.

Forgive me for any errors I made have made about caterpillar biology.

I read it, but he said a caterpillar mutant was born with claws instead of feet, grew, and bred. Everything sounds perfectly logical except MUTANTS CAN'T REPRODUCE. Ligers and zorses are both mutants, technically, and they can't breed. I refuse to debate this any longer as I don't want to start an argument and I got a warn for being "disrespectful." Let's just drop it. If you want to attempt to disprove me, shoot me a PM. I'll try my best to answer any questions.
