Camponotus saundersi This is an Asian species of ant, known primilarly for the fact it explodes when a fight takes a bad turn. It has two oversized manipulate glands which run the entire length of the ant's body. It can make these glands burst, spraying a burning and sticky substance everywhere. These substance can also act as glue and restrain enemies. |

Yet at least closer to an animal than to a plant ![]() So the unique animal is: http://www.markwitton.com/sample-chapter/4552907932 The Boreopterid Pterosaurs! Though I is still speculated, the pterosaur group is believed to be able to float/dive in the water, and hunt marine animals too. Found in China, the Yixian Formation. Ambulocetus![]() It looks like a crocodile, but wait, is that a mammal? Indeed, it's Ambulocetus, a cetacean that could walk! These weird creatures are a great example of the cetacean's transfer from land to water. Edited by Admiral General Aladeen, Sep 10 2013, 06:43 PM.

That beetle certainly has bizarre behavior and that's very scary! However, the fully grow beetle is beautiful! |
