So, for those of you who collect dinosaur/animal figures, Wild Safari has just announced three new figures for next year. Here's the initial statements from Everything Dinosaur, taken from the Dinosaur Toy Blog: Update on Safari Ltd, this company intends to add a number of prehistoric animal models in 2014, pictures are still under an embargo so we at Everything Dinosaur can't show them yet, but we have seen three new additions to the Wild Safari Dinos & Prehistoric Life series, firstly there is an excellent Pachyrhinosaurus coloured tan/light brown with excellent details. In addition, at least two Theropods are coming out in 2014, there will an updated and much improved Suchomimus model, beautifully painted, in a typical fishing pose, slightly reminiscent of the Carnegie Baryonyx but in this new Suchomimus, the head will not be raised up. The Suchomimus models we have seen were largely painted a deep blue and resemble typical Spinosaurid posture. The other new model for 2014 that we know about is Monolophosaurus. The tail is not quite as long as the Dilophosaurus in the Wild Safari Dinos range, it is well proportioned and the crest on the top of the snout is a muted red colour. Lots of detail to admire on this model also. If you think about the Wild Safari Dinos introductions over the last couple of years or so, in 2012 Safari Ltd added a Vagaceratops, this year it was Diabloceratops, there has been a trend with Safari Ltd to add a new Ceratopsian to the Wild Safari Dinos range. It is a great model, the figure represents P. canadensis, and it is a coincidence that the CGI movie coming out in December also features this Pachyrhinosaurus species. All the models that we have seen are really good, check out Everything Dinosaur's blog, facebook page as more information and pics will be up shortly. However, the official line from Safari Ltd is that we cannot release pics just yet. So yeah, no pics yet. The length of the embargo wasn't stated at all, so its just a matter of waiting. Altogether, Collecta has revealed three new dinosaur figures. The pics have been out for a while, but here they are: ![]() Carcharodontosaurus (Deluxe Line) ![]() Stegosaurus Carcass (Dinosaur Food line) ![]() Icthyovenator (Basic Line) So, thoughts anyone? |

I'll probably look forward to the Ichthyovenator, though first I have to get a flipping feathered Velociraptor

I didn't even know this existed. I'm a bit old to by them now, but they look wonderful. When i was a kid i used to have a LOT of dinosaur figures. But back then none of them were very accurate, all of the them were toys and half of them were from the JP franchise ![]() I really like the Carcha and the Icthyo but i prefere my dinos alive (ironic eh?) so no stegosaur's carcass for me

I like those figures, though they are quite rare here. I think the Stegosaurus's carcass would work best, showing along side something like a Saurophaganax or Allosaurus model. |

It didn't cost that much last time I did it. Also if there are any shops that sell any of them you can get them to order it in for you.

We are both in Asia , and it's far away . The closest place is Singapore's Universal Studio, yet they probably won't have the new one too

That's the problem with dinosaur figures. Its so hard to find a retailer that sells the good ones, even here in America. I've only seen Collecta figs once at a dinosaur walk park gift shop, but I am surprised that Michaels (the craft store) has most of the 2011 Safari dinos now. |
