While I don't agree with the Emoticon, I would echo the question, what kinda hunter are you Bluevenom? I can't speak for everyone else but I have an extremely low view of PETA itself, to avoid offending anyone who actually likes PETA I won't speak my mind about it and it's (in my view) numerous faults, but I would like to register my dislike of that organisation |

Their heart is in the right place but they're definitely extremists and they go WAY too far. Okay, we can agree skinning dogs alive for their fur is bad, but as far as other stuff like their old campaign to rename fish "sea kittens" to keep people from eating them.. that's ridiculous and only reinforces the idea that they're crazy even more than it would otherwise. And of course they're as hypocritical as can be with their virtually all-kill shelters. So no, PETA doesn't ring very well with me, in the end. |

I never said you liked or disliked them. I was merely stating my point, as did Murdock. |

Oh, ok then. Anyway, the reason that those who kill for fun do it because they think it makes them look good. They have to understand that not everyone sees it that way. |

All Kill Shelters and crazy advertising isn't the half of it. I mean how about their outright propaganda aimed at young children such as the leaflets entitled 'Your Mommy Kills Animals' depicting a housewife stabbing a bunny to death with a carving knife. Or perhaps the court case they went through where they defended their kill shelters by claiming "These animals are our property, we can kill them if we want to" Or how about their hypocrisy, such as their vice president using insulin which is the result of animal testing because she 'needs to use it to defend animal's rights'. This is especially notable with celebrities who donate to PETA, even if they go against what PETA espouses, such as Pamela Anderson's Dodge Viper (auctioned to benefit PETA) having a "luxurious leather interior.", Jenna Jameson was photographed fishing, slurping oysters, and wearing a leather jacket just weeks after launching an anti-leather campaign for PETA or most notably Steve-O, whose entire career is built on abusing small animals on film Or how about their ad campaigns that are either heavily exploitative of women and degrading, or downright offensive, comparing animals to the Jews under Nazi Germany, and their ad campaign 'Holocaust on your plate' Or how about their attempts to get rid of all forms of animal testing which are vital to our medical future, remember, PETA cares more about lab rats than dying children. Or how about their multiple 'donations' to terrorists such as the Arsonist who torched several labs and taught teens how to make molatov cocktails at a PETA organised event. And not to mention their commonplace interactions with ALF and ARM, two known animal rights terrorist groups. Or how about the fact that PETA makes enormous amounts of money from donations but only very minor amounts go to animal rights, conservation or other such causes, and most are pocketed by PETA's higher ups. Or how about PETA's desire for total animal liberation, granting animals identical rights to humans, while freeing those in any form of captivity, effectively eliminating many many species and devastating the local ecosystem (look at what happened with the Mink farms in Europe) PETA are one of those organisations that I will never trust, which claims to be one thing and projects this light, lovely, happy exterior, but inside is a dark, horrible, hypocritical and in many cases downright evil mess, comparable to say, The Cult of Scientology. |

They're even worse than I thought. I'm not a fan of animal testing. But I realize it's necessary, in some cases, most notably a lot of medical research... but not stuff like make-up and other unnecessary crap. If people want that, they should volunteer to test it, and stop blinding dogs and rabbits with it. In my opinion. PETA could have been a good to the world but they've made something that should have been great - a desire to help animals - a monstrosity. |

PETA's ridiculous. They don't even want us keeping pets, the way I understand it. Sorry PETA, but I love my pets and I'm not giving them up anytime soon. I think the average dog would be a lot happier as a pet anyway. When I look at my pets, I certainly don't see them wandering the streets as legal citizens the way PETA wants them to. Animals are animals, and they should stay that way! |

PETA even forces lions to eat vegetables! And they have no point at all. They say we need to stop to kill animals, yet plants, are also living things.
