I agree. Deer are a good choice to hunt since they're overpopulated in many areas.

Which do you think is better?
1. The Inuit hunting seals because they need it to survive
2. Some rich a$$hole paying a few thousand dollars just so he can end the life of some poor elephant or rhino.

Number 1, of course.

Inuit need to survive, and seals are just some of the only food sources available to them, even today.

I am completely against hunting endangered megafauna like elephants and rhinos. I don't think anyone here is supporting such acts, not even those who like hunting!

Something we all have to agree to is that hunting is not a black and white issue, it's a series of shades of gray, and thus we need to be careful about sweeping statements

Also FYI, Slender, one or two word posts can be seen as spam, don't want you to get warned so just thought I'd give a friendly reminder :)

Thanks for the reminder, anyway, I don't understand what you mean by shades of gray.

In an ethical dilemma/debate there is often seen as two main categories, right and wrong, indicated by the colors white (for Right) and black (for Wrong). Many ethical questions can fall under one of these categories, for example I doubt anyone here would argue that racism is ever a good thing.

This being said there are issues, such as hunting where the subject of the debate is neither distinctly right or wrong, good or bad, white or black, but rather they are somewhere in between, a shade of gray so to speak.

Hunting on a whole is neither a morally good or bad thing entirely, and each individual case can be seen differently to others, therefore it involves shades of gray in between the black and white which represent wrong and right.

I hope I explained that right, I'm not the best at this

Sometimes, people kill deer and sell their parts to the black market. Shade of grey right there.

Whereas, people shoot and use all the deer as food/tools/something.

There is always something going on...

Like me. Anyway, bow are very effective, especially compound bows, I've taken down boars with one arrow made from bone. So, yes bow can take down an animal quickly.
